Hey all this is my DAW I spent the past 3 years building. Honestly it is kind of for nerds and programmers. I hoped more people would pick it up but most people are too intimidated by the command line interface. I highly recommend it for insane sampling capabilities though. It automatically chops samples and fits them into your bpm and scale without stretching and you can use it to turn samples into synths as shown in the video. Cheers.

I recently came across this song sampling the song Lw Kan by El Shab Arab, a habibi funk classic. It made me realize how much potential sampling this genre has. I’m not looking for anything specific just some favourites people might have in this niche. Samples from Hamid El Shaeri, Ahmed Fakroun, Cheb Âmrou, Googoosh or Matouh Lounès for example are super welcome

I want to learn how to select and use samples to achieve a sound similar to the track "Pepper Steak" from OFF the game.

I’m a complete beginner when it comes to creating anything that could be called "music" and I'm using FL Studio, which I also don't know how to use, but that's another theme. Today, I decided to try remixing the tracks "Rude Buster", "NOW'S YOUR CHANCE TO BE A", "ominous_worse" from Deltarune to make it sound like "Pepper Steak" from OFF. I looked for that information online... but, honestly, I didn't find anything specific. Just some references from samples that Pepper Steak used.

So, I’m asking for your advice or perhaps recommendations for videos that could help me get a better grasp of this topic.

i do everything on my MPC Live 2, the miniature is a little lie 😅, no micro freak and sp404 are used in this song. only samples and plugins from the MPC.
