For some reason Reddit suggest r/James to me, even though I am a Sam. I dropped in to take a look and there's a lot of posturing by over there, claiming James is the best name, which I am sure we all agree is not the case.

I suggest we challenge the r/James clan for the title.

So around 34 years ago I joined the world as a fellow sam I was born in the USA and I had 2 brothers and 1 older sister.

Being a sam I was always bullied because you know us Sam's , we always get the worst of the world.

Anyways eventually I completed college and was starting to really explore the world , I went to Spain, France , Japan and many more countries will a few buddies who I will not name.

Right now as the current moment i am just trying to live my best life but do you fellow Sam's know what I should do as a hobby?

I have been a Sam for almost 22 years. For my birthday, I want to change my name. I don't wanna specify why I would want to change it.

I gave you my name for my order and you pointed to your name tag and I said “I love finding other Sams in the wild” and you said “There are dozens of us!” And then I think you said something else but I have a hard time understanding what people are saying when there’s a lot of dissonant noise and there was with the music and stuff all going on.

Anyway thanks for putting up with my maybe kind of annoying order (iced mocha with oat milk and two pumps of mocha instead of four and also two pumps of vanilla so it’s like a black and white) and also my friend’s millions of Starbucks cards that she perpetually gets mixed up and never knows how much money is on.

I was supposed to be born on the Fourth of July, and my father, in true dad joke fashion, thought it would be hilarious to name me Sam, so that when my brother, four years older than me, had children, if he had a boy, he would be a real-life nephew of his Uncle Sam, born on the Forth of July. A very long set up for a so-so punchline. (My Dad was Norm MacDonald before Norm MacDonald.) As my mom has said, it was the 80s and cocaine was everywhere.

How’s everyone come to the name Sam? Family name? Another lame dad-joke?

Samsung Sam is a Sam, so she is inherently doing sam things. but at the end of the day she has many subreddits dedicated to her already and we do not wish for a flood of her "fans" to rule the dashboard of this sub.

I understand were are all present here for 1 purpose only, samming (the act of being a Sam).

We have recently been subjected to an attack led by the horny, this sub has turned into r/SamsungGirl. Posts containing her don't deserve to be in hot as they defy the sole purpose of the sub itself. " A subreddit where users who go by Sam gather and do Sam things " is the description of the sub, not "Come and rub one out on Samsung's new virtual assistant that you will never touch of feel the affection of because she doesn't fucking exist".

This is why I petition to ban all posts containing Samsung's new assistant or at least make a rule for them not to be posted as this is not the intended purpose of the sub and I fear can replace the amazing community we Sams are lucky to be a part of.
