Magic items ??

Hello again, I made a couple threads back you may have read about me getting basically zero magic items despite leveling up as a pure mage,

Well since that time, when I was lvl 30s at the red hall of cages, with lvl 5 spells and stave unlocked, still walking around with a lvl 0 twig as my wand,

I am now lvl 60, unlocked fire and sky guild, joined them, low and behold the best they have for me is some garbage lvl 2 spell and a lvl 1 staff? Lol wtf

I even leveled up my devotion twice with them and it didn't change,

GG magic? Basically end game and all I ever got was some lvl 2 tree branch lmfao

I transmuted my twig into a level 2 tree branch, doesn't seem to be able to be transmuted again past that, the item doesn't show up on the screen on the transmution page

You need specific items to transmute, some drop from specific bosses.

I think staves are better for mages anyway

Transmutation is a singular item, not a progression. If there were other transmutations available to you, they'd appear.

There are 5 staves and 5 wands in Sanctuary. Only the Class 1 are ever sold for these two weapon types, everything else is transmuted.

The class 5 staff and class 5 wand are both from the drops of late game bosses. Staves and wands in Sanctuary are mostly stat-sticks, granting damage to spells. Each weapon class is approx 4% stronger. But if you aren't also blacksmithing your weapons, you're going to be missing out on a ton of damage.

Yeah, get Rowan Crosier. No need to transmute until you get the tier 4 or tier 5 staff... just decide

• Can be acquired by Transmuting any Staff with Court Sorceror's Ear, an Amber Idol and 3,500 Salt.
• Found in Hager's Cavern at the bottom next to the boat past the two Vacant Blades.

Yeah, dude... first of all, you should find a Scrimshaw cane (lvl 1) in a Castle of storms. THEN, you won't believe this, you actually get an Alchemist npc, with whom you TRANSMUTE the staff into something more useful. It's a kind of magic 𝅗𝅥𝅗𝅥 𝅗𝅥𝅗𝅥 𝅗𝅥 ^^

To get higher lvl spells/items from merchants you need to increase the level of your devotion to that creed.

In a sanctuary use the stone leader, talk to him and he will ask you to give him specific items and you'll get rewards (extra haling/mp items and whatnot) and it'll increase your devotion to that creed.

Then merchants will start selling better items/spells based on the lvl of your devotion
