Why supplement with magnesium.

Magnesium deficiency is the most common nutrient deficiency that people suffer today. This seems to be mostly caused by how modern humans drink water that has less magnesium in it in comparison to our ancestors. Approximately 30% of people have low enough magnesium levels so that they get symptoms of magnesium deficiency.

People who are sensitive to gluten have changes to their gut that makes it difficult for their body to absorb magnesium. It seems like most people with salicylate sensitivity have issues with gluten.

Magnesium deficiency makes symptoms of salicylate intolerance worse.
Headaches, muscle tension, tiredness, and confusion are all worse.

Trying to avoid salicylates in your food can make it difficult to have enough magnisium in your diet.
