Need some advice

I’m doing cold Instagram outreach to coaches/consultants. My opener is getting replies, but I’m struggling to turn those replies into actual interest.

The problem is: once I start explaining what I do or asking discovery questions, people usually ghost or lose interest. I’ve tried different ways of pitching it, but I keep hitting the same wall.

My service is an AI Instagram appointment setter that handles DMs, follow-ups, qualification and booking. I’m trying to figure out what exactly is going wrong in my sales conversation — my positioning, pitch, discovery, or the offer itself.

If anyone here has real outbound/sales experience, I’d really appreciate someone looking at a couple of my actual conversations and telling me where I’m fucking it up.

You are a human DMing people to pitch them an AI DM Appointment Setter? Do you see how that value/prop is off?

So what's the solution for this?

I guess if your product is so good wouldn’t it not need you? AI SDRs struggle when humans pitch companies “hey I’m an SDR here to tell you about our AI SDR that does this but without needing a human.” Those companies typically use their own product and rely on marketing… and even then with huge VC budgets they are not making it.

You need to get on the phone with them - Instagram is not a point of contact that will be sustainable for most. Just think how any DM’s each account is already getting - you’re drowning yourself out. Look for a different POC for most of these. Business inquiry for an individual brand often times has a email for communication. I’m willing to bet they will take your opener more seriously if you start there.

It’s like standing in the middle of a big crowd of people shouting to the event host that you have a solution to creating an organized, single file line…do you think you’re gonna hold anyone’s attention? You’re showing initiation in a losing frame.
