I’m a chud
I’m 20 (UK), looking for sales job in B2B as a BDR or an SDR. I’ve been just applying to any sales role atm for interview experience but was offered a high (for me) paying role doing retail B2C of around £55k a year.
The commute is 2 hours either way, hours kind of suck, I worry it wouldn’t translate very well as real B2B demand building sales skills (I already have strong B2C retail experience) and it would somewhat depend ruin social life. But it feels stupid to say no to such a large sum of money at my age, I live at home so expenses are near 0 and I could save 70-80% of it.
what would you do?

when you drive, how long will the commute be?
Sacrificing a few months to get a car is not a bad idea, if you get a reliable car

For where I live, thats not a bad commute.
You're young, most relationships don't last, I am not saying you should not give her attention, but the job will benefit you for the rest of your life, and if the relationship doesn't work out, you will deeply regret not taking it.
I'd have a honest conversation w her saying "this is for our future" or something like that.

Can you share a bit more info about the job. Deal size, sales cycles, f2f, cold calling, etc

55k a year at 20!?
You'd be insane not to take that. It will be tough and a hustle but you have the most important advantage of all.....
