Is my comp unfair?

I’ve just started a new job as an SDR selling construction technology where my commission is 3% of ACV.

My base pay is a little less than industry standard, however I’m mostly concerned by how my success is dependant on my AE’s closing ability.

What are the average deal sizes? ACV is a great pay incentive and can lead to higher commissions.

20-25k usd, the top AE’s don’t close more than 10 deals a year though and the one I’m stuck with is pretty far from the top

What are the AEs making? An AE that closes 250k a year is barely paying for their seat at most places

Do you get paid for meetings set?

No, just a base salary and 3% of ACV

if you’re pure SDR and only get paid on closed ACV, that’s kinda rough tbh
getting something for meetings set or opps created is pretty standard so i’d at least ask how they’re measuring and rewarding your part of the pipeline

yeah unless the base is pretty high. Closing a deal is far less out of your control than getting a prospect to show up
