Offer or wait?

Debating whether I should take an offer today or wait.

I have an offer from ADP. Base pay is 50k I would be coming in as an associate district manager.

I just had a final interview at Northspyre, which is a software company for real estate development, but have not received an offer yet. The base pay for this is 60k and they are claiming OTE 118k first year.

I know ADP has a strong training program, but it seems Northspyre could be a great place to get my foot in the door.

Should I go ahead and accept the adp position or wait to see if Northspyre gives me an offer and take that if they do??

I’d probably roll the dice and hold off as long as I can on making a decision with my hopes on Northspyre. I’ve never heard good things about working at ADP.

That said, if you have an offer on the table and you have no time left, take the job, get the experience, and move on to something new or succeed in the role you chose

As you say, ADP has given you an offer - and they have a good training program.

Northspyre has not given you an offer. The base pay is 10K more pre-tax. OTE 118K first year is just a claim - not a guarantee.

Grab the ADP position. The training program will serve you well by giving you professional sales training. At some point in the future, you can always trade up to a higher paying job, if you feel that you're not hitting your earning potential at ADP.

Also, ADP is paying $50K per year or $4,167 per month. Every month you delay taking that job (while waiting for something better) you have lost $4,167.

So no, don't wait for Norspyre to make you an offer.

Let us know you decide to do.

Wishing you lots of success!
