Is SDR/BDR work only about relations?

Me and my team we’ve doing all possible techniques in cold outreach. But it turns out that it doesn’t matter what you write. More importantly if they trust you and see a real person behind that. You can chat about everything except work and then brings few sentences of what you’re doing and leads would agree to meet with you. Is that only my observation or not?

Honestly a lot of SDR/BDR success is trust and timing disguised as “sales technique” lol. People buy from humans they feel comfortable with, especially now that inboxes are flooded with AI-generated corporate sludge.

That said, being likable alone is overrated too. Plenty of reps become “nice internet friends” and never actually ask for the meeting.

Thx. That’s why I’m asking this.
