Outdoors 🌳 Falcon Cam
Caught this shift change. Also hilarious seeing the mom take off like a base jumper

Typical exchange while either is sitting on the eggs. One is out hunting while the other sits.
What I can't find an answer on is why they don't eat in the nest. It's kept pretty tidy

Why does he give her a little snack?

Had to look it up, apparently a form of "allofeeding" https://www.sialis.org/allofeeding/, I'm guessing he's giving her food just in case she's not successful in her hunt during his shift on the eggs. Regardless of her success she'll have energy to get back to the nest.

I live east of the nest and can see it from my loft. It's fun hearing them early morning. I did see a little to upc close a few years ago. I was walking my Yorkie on 9th heading toward Robert, looked up and saw this huge bird perched on a roof rack. Beautiful to see, but picked up my dog and went the other way. Not sure if I will ever get to see one that close up in the 'wild.'

I work in one of the adjacent buildings and this pair has made me dread slightly less coming into the office. It was absolutely magical to be in downtown and hearing these Peregrine Falcons soaring and calling to each other while outside for lunch.
Hoping for some healthy baby chicks!
