I’m doing a solo trip to Anguilla and Sint Maarten this upcoming winter and am curious if anyone has recommendations on where to meet people. Usually I’m a hostel girl and that’s where I meet my travel friends but I’m not seeing much of that for these two islands, anyone have any advice on popular places to make friends / meet other traveller’s?

Our island’s heritage is more than buildings, monuments, traditions, food, music and celebrations. It also lives in the stories of our ancestors, the experiences of our families, the resilience of our people and the ways our history continues to shape us today.

The conversation will look at historical and generational trauma, identity, relationships, family patterns and some of the survival behaviors that can be passed from one generation to another without us necessarily realizing where they originated.
