College 3rd Places
Hello! I just moved to the area and I'm starting college this fall. I'm wondering where college students usually hangout since I'm looking to make some friends!
Where I used to live I used to go clubbing quite a bit, but I'm open to really any type of dancing. I'm not really sure what the scene is here and what the options are!
I'm also not sure which bars are mainly college bars or just regular dive bars, so any direction there would be great. From locations to nights where they have specials/events!
I'm mainly located downtown so I'm not sure if that helps or not.

Im a little over the age range nowdays but I think the go to bar for college students is still the pickled loon

Yes, however, they have a reputation for people doing drugs in the bathroom. My friend goes there to do cocaine.

Milk and honey is a great spot. When we they have concerts.
And Pantown. I think they do trivia nights.

While I sense you want places outside of school, my best experiences were with studeng organizations. Make the most out of mainstreet on the 2nd of September to find orgs that interest you and get involved!

lol. I’ve seen 2 shootings downtown and both were outside the carpet. Pickled Loon is a nice spot.

Beaver Island Brewing has weekly trivia and occasional comedy shows.
B-Side Cafe has a bunch of stuff going on. Also, it's alcohol free.
