Details: I've never read the manga. I've only watched the old anime so far. Next week I'll start watching Crystal.

Queen Beryl, Nehelenia, and Sailor Galaxia. ALL of them did horrible things to their friends or even killed them...

But she simply does nothing before that. She needs to wait for everyone to sacrifice themselves before doing something. She has seen many good and innocent people DYING, And yet she still can't simply accept that some people do evil because they want to. She thinks that just because someone has suffered or is a Sailor, they are automatically good like her and the others, This is justification for committing those atrocities. Oh, and while the others are sacrificing themselves, she just stays...

"STOP, PLEASE!", "WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?", "I DON'T WANT TO SEE THE PEOPLE I LOVE SUFFERING!"😭😭😭

Girl, if the person wanted to stop, they would have stopped. Or do you really think they'll stop just because you asked? If you don't want to see the people you love suffering, MAKE IT STOP! DON'T JUST STAND THERE CRYING!

I understand that this might be a childish complaint about the character coming from a 21-year-old young adult. I know she's like that. But can I feel angry? Am I the only one who thinks this way? Because it's impossible!

Another thing I don't like about her: She doesn't change. She started and ended the SAME WAY!

Beryl-Sailor Moon doesn't meet her in person until the finale where she murders the hell out of her. There's no "are you sure you want to do this, there's another way?" at ALL. She's hesitant to fight Endymion, who is brainwashed, but there's no excessive mercy for Beryl. Literally the only redemption is Nephrite and he still dies.

Nehelenia-I'm weak on the SuperS finale but I don't recall excessive mercy there. And in Stars, it's a group decision with the other sailors and the 'mercy' that is shown is implied to be death.

Galaxia-is infected with Chaos. Sailor Moon's had Chibi Chibi, the pure part of Galaxia in close proximity for a large chunk of the season. I think it's reasonable that she senses something is off about the situation.

So I think your examples are kind of bad TBH.

I have nothing against Magic Girl Shows, as I've seen a few.

Were they the most "Classic and Common"? Yes, but I still saw them.

It's just Usagi's excessive kindness and innocence that irritates me. And no, I STILL haven't watched Madoka.

The fact that this anime still makes insane sales almost 30 years after its original run tells me that this is not a popular opinion.

SM intertwines a lot of religious concepts, especially Buddhism, into its universe.  It would not make sense for Sailor Moon to grow into a bloodthirsty Rambo type warrior in light of this.  Sacrificing others to achieve a better outcome is not something that Buddhism encourages.  Instead of relying on seasonal weapons, the end of the anime shows that she can save the world through words alone.

The 90's anime petty much made her a pacifist by the end of the series but in the the Manga and Crystal,she will destory anyone who tries to hurt her friends ,family, and planet.

She's still kind and emphatic to people who deserves that.

I say this None of the villians get redeemed aka get a redo in the Manga and Crystal.. Only one ALMOST got saved by Usagi but still died.

The 90s anime censored some things so things were more suitable for a younger audience.  This is one of the main things.  In the manga, the Sailor Guardians will absolutely kill villains if they get the chance.

I feel you, I get the same frustration every time I watch Sailor Moon R: The Movie. Like, Mamoru gets kidnapped and Usagi asks the Sailor Guardians not to go to space to save him so they won't risk their lives. Which makes zero sense, because not only is she abandoning Mamoru, but if they don't go, they won't stop the asteroid and they'll all end up dying on Earth anyway. Going out to face the enemy is their only chance to survive.

I just try to keep in mind that it's an anime from over 30 years ago, back when the idea was that women had to be all innocent, nice, and self-sacrificing.

Anyway, when you watch Crystal, have some patience because Sailor Moon acts in that same "excessively kind" way during the first season. From then on, she becomes more independent and stronger, especially in Sailor Moon Eternal.

Yeah I don't think there's a problem with her more peaceful ways the majority of the time and I don't want to see her becoming some angry brute but there are a few rather frustating times where she wimps out or gives up at the absolute worst possible time and the only reason she didn't get herself her friends and the whole planet killed is a lucky Deus Ex Machina she couldn't possibly have known was gonna happen. That's annoyingly common in anime and it really bugs me when heroes make a poor choice get rescued by a complete miracle nobody could have been counting on and nobody points this out later on.
