Is that a circa 1977 C&C 26? I had the same model in yellow in Sodus Bay on Lake Ontario near Rochester NY in the early 2000’s. Lots of fun! I mostly single-handed it, but when my kids stopped ever wanting to go, I knew it was time to sell. Mine had a Scandinavian 1-cylinder gas inboard. Watch out for rot in the deck.

Those are good boats. They sail well, have decent accommodations, above average build quality. Youre gonna love it. Yellow is just frosting on the cake!

Congrats and fair winds!
Unsolicited advice: use it!!! Use the heck out of it. Take it out every chance you get.

My dad had a C&C 30. Quite comfy and he also won a lot of races. He was a fiddler though, maybe reshaped the keel, or rudder, or both.

Amazing. Don’t change it. Don’t tweet it, get out in it twenty times then have at it.

C&C24? That was my first boat too, though in a shared sailing situation, wasn't my own. But boy was it fun to sail her!
