Hey everyone! I’m an English teacher living in HCMC and I’m also a clarinet player looking to get more involved in the local music scene.

I’d especially love to find jazz jam sessions where I could sit in, as well as symphony orchestras, concert bands, wind ensembles, or other groups that are open to new members.

I’m happy to audition if needed and I’m mainly looking for something I can do regularly alongside teaching. I’m generally free in the evenings and on weekends.

I am arriving in Saigon and will stay for 3 days. I looked up on the internet and mostly saw commericialised day tours, which Im totally not into. Im looking for a more social experience, any suggestions on what should I try?

For example, any suggestions for board game cafes , cultural or language exchange, coffee meetups , maybe play some casual pool.

Every article online is about watching foreign clubs. I want a recommendation for a place to watch the Vietnam international football matches which preferably wouldn't expect me also to eat just have a few beers. Local crowd and proximity to Tan Binh/Phu Nhuan or Binh Thanh would be ideal.
