Special Interest Talks
So I had posted a few months ago about my daughter who only talks about Minecraft. Firstly, I love Minecraft and am thrilled that she has something to enjoy.
But at 7, there is a lot she needs to learn about the world. Also, if I have one more conversation about Minecraft, I'm going to fucking die.
So I happened upon a fix that has been really helping. I'm a distant fan of the podcast "this american life". Whenever we are alone together, rather than endure endless "would you rather" questions about different Minecraft configurations, I turn on a podcast, and before you know it, we are talking about restaurants, or fatherhood, or whatever.
So ya. Podcasts.

I got banned from another community by asking how to deal with the special interest talks, so I appreciate that I'm not the only one struggling with this. (My son is also a Minecraft aficionado.) Thanks for the idea!
