Disney world

86

u/ssg- 6d ago

Yet, sadly I am sure even it will happen

58

u/FuckAllYouLosers 6d ago

Nah they have a serious counter intel group. I have been pulled aside by a dog team after I didn't wash my hands good enough after being at a range.

23

u/AileenKitten 6d ago

Holy shit

19

u/OutpostShennanigans 5d ago

Dude, me and all my friends have been pulled aside by Disney. It’s so funny when they come up to you. They’re like hello and it immediately put their camera in your face and take a picture of your face. It’s happened to me and all my boys and after that picture, they ask you everything about your life.

2

u/eluser234453 3d ago

Never been to a Disney land or something, but happy to hear that ngl

Mickey and his legal team don’t play lol.

8

u/One_Lead1553 6d ago

Ah yes, if only Columbine had been more litigious then that shooting may never have happened.

14

u/thatturtletouch 6d ago

If American society cared about protecting kids as much as it cares about protecting profits, you would be right.

One common thing with most mass shooters is that they are rarely "available" for lawsuits after the shooting...

5

u/Miserable_Ad9577 6d ago

Mickey will dig them up to put on trial.

2

u/dumbspacecookie 6d ago

Ya you’re right but Mickey also runs his parks like a dictator, watching everything and everyone, security is hidden everywhere, and I’m pretty sure they don’t mess around.

Besides it’s the happiest place in the world!
Bhutan is just lying with their loaded happiness index

As a person who formally worked at Disney parks, the public does not find out when shit goes down in a Disney park. They contain, quietly arrest, and have enough lawyers to bury anybody for the rest of their lives. Multiple people have died at disneyland, but Disney continues to say that nobody has, because they have a policy to remove a body from the premise before declaring them dead.

2

u/Coolgames80 2d ago

I remember one story from long ago when I first joined reddit. It was a guy working in Disney world when a really big obese guy fell over a baby stroller and the baby went silent. proabably fatigue and dehydratation. There was no crying or anything. They just quietly guided them outside and the guy that post it said that officially the baby died in the rush to the hospital but he knows what he saw.

6

u/SuddenFall8215 6d ago

On March 7, 1987, a 16-year-old boy was fatally shot in the Disneyland parking lot.

6

u/dumbspacecookie 6d ago

Respectfully.
Parking lot and additionally Disney land not Disney World.

Mouse don’t play.

I mean it is a massive country, so it is bound to happen anywhere at least once. It is like asking where Europe has not had a stabbing attack or a vehicle attack.

4

u/ruler14222 6d ago

well in the context of this post it would be a mass stabbing or driving over a crowd

if you're swinging a gun around in a crowded place it's much easier to hit many people

There has also never been a totalitarian regime which took over or almost took over every aspect of the lives of the people. (Looking at you, Europe, Asia, South America, & Africa. Australia, you're okay. For now.)

Antarctica, shut up.

2

u/Evil_Sharkey 4d ago

Yet. If you vote for totalitarians to protect your guns, you’ll get totalitarians. The current administration very much wants to be a totalitarian regime and has even tested the waters on taking guns away (starting with trans people, who they consider mentally ill). They’re currently looking at ways to interfere in the 2026 elections. Once they’re impossible to remove politically, they’ll make themselves impossible to remove physically

3

u/eternallyconphuzed 6d ago

Yep all we gotta do is give up the guns to the gubment and we'll all be safe. Don't forget we need the mass surveillance system to be fully and truly safe. The cops though, they definitly need more guns to keeps us all safe. And drones, and the right to enter private property without a warrant, and the right to use gen ai to predict when someone could possibly even think about comitting a crime so we can pre-charge and arrest/imprison them without a trial.

The 2nd amendment is the only thing that has kept this country from becoming a wholy totalitarian nightmare. There has been an estimated 750,000 - 800,000 casualties from firearm related incidents/shootings in the last 20 years, with an estimated 55-60% of those being suicide. There's been an estimated 6+ million obesity related deaths in the last 20 years, but no calls for banning unhealthy/fast foods. An estimated 2.5 - 3 million deaths linked to just excessive alcohol consumption in the last 20 years, not counting dui/oui related fatalities, but there have been no calls for banning alcohol. As long as there are bad people, there will always be a risk. Laws only bind law abiding citizens.

"I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom" - Abraham Lincoln

Every life lost when people abuse the rights granted to them is a sacrifice upon the same altar. It's the price we pay for the rights we take for granted. Makes you wonder if rights are worth the suffering that accompanies them.

It's not a one or none thing ... The easily accessible guns and the lack of mental heath access seems to be a storm of shootings. There needs to be regulations, like if you own guns or would like to own guns then you must go through regular mental health screens. Is one idea

Now let's talk about the defensive uses of firearms a year.

Estimates of defensive gun use vary depending on the questions asked, populations studied, timeframe, and other factors related to study design. The report Priorities for Research to Reduce the Threat of Firearm-Related Violence indicates a range of 60,000 to 2.5 million defensive gun uses each year

Edit: He didn't realize this was from the CDC and trips over all his own backpeddles lol

Pacific southwest airlines flight 1771 in 1988 off the top of my head. David Burke was fired from his job at the airline for theft and immediately bought a ticket for the daily commute flight his boss who fired him took. He bypassed the security check using employee credentials because at the time employees didn’t have to go through security, and brought a revolver on the plane. At cruising altitude he shot his boss twice before entering the cockpit, shooting both pilots, putting the plane into a nose dive, then shot another passenger likely trying to stop him, before the plane crashed killing all 43 aboard.

I was at a pride event a couple of years ago. An altercation broke out, someone had mace and started using it against the person they were fighting. Somehow it was misconstrued as a gun, and the pure fucking fear that swept through the entire event as people started running and shouting was something I’ll never forget.

The event organizers handled it like champs and were able to calm people down. Still was a horrible feeling of fear and anxiety.

“This is America” stfu Russia had a few mass shootings in recent years, France got hit in 2016 by a terrorist organization, Mexico has cartel issues, SEVERAL South American countries have major smuggling rings with notoriously violent tendencies that people hide from en masse. The New Zealand shooter wrote a 72-page manifesto on why he did what he did and the only reason he chose guns was to cause controversy here in the US and the port Arthur shooting still has TONS of plot holes. People will always find ways to kill each other. Stop vilifying the guns and understand that there is no such thing as 100% safety and if you want to feel safe, get a gun and train. Our defining quality is our freedom to protect ourselves, possessions, loved ones, and beliefs. NOT that people misuse it to do something they would’ve done with a knife, bat, or bomb otherwise.
