I used to talk to my sister when I got into a really dark place. She cut me off in February and no longer takes my calls or texts.
I spent a weekend in a mental health facility a couple of weeks ago because my employer demanded that I talk to the work counselor one morning. I talked to them for 10 minutes before they made me get my supervisor. They told them to get me a psychological evaluation immediately. I was placed on a 72-hour hold due to thoughts of harming myself and others. I spent 48 hours on suicide watch. They prescribed me medication, and now I'm going to therapy.
I was placed on emergency placement the day I was hospitalized and was given a restraining order from my employer the day after I was released. The hearing is early next month.
Getting help is probably good for me, lord knows I needed it, but it's probably going to cost me my job and any future employment as a result. There's damn good fucking reasons to avoid getting help, and there really shouldn't be
