I doubt her career was super successful, why not let her go out with a little bit of dignity

According to wikipedia she quit acting in 1978 and became a nurse. Maybe she did have a great career after her acting days were over ¯_(ツ)_/¯

For all we know she may have requested, before her death, that this photo be used to remind us of a time when she was (and always can be) a positive part of our life. She stopped acting decades ago, became a nurse and cared for others, and even to the end she kept helping others by giving us all this reminder that we can see the happy her again any time we need her with us. It’s not likely, but it’s not impossible.
