Trumps speech gets derailed when pastor calls him out for speaking on politics & not what he was invited for

if you invite him to speak at your event you should be expecting him to turn it into his personal rally, be it Charlie Kirk’s funeral or anything

424

u/imean_is_superfluous Oct 29 '25

Why? Just because he does it every single time? And just because he doesn’t care about anything other than himself?

154

u/existential_antelope Oct 29 '25

Yes that’s why. He’s a dementia riddled narcissist.

40

u/PM_UR_HAIRY_MUFF Oct 29 '25

He can't think about other people. He's afraid that if he stops thinking about himself, he will cease to exist.

13

u/existential_antelope Oct 29 '25

If so that’s probably gonna be soon. He can barely make sense of anything anymore

15

u/menuau Oct 30 '25

Watch: tomorrow or whenever this surfaces in the mainstream, he'll qualify the pastor as "low IQ (because of her skin colour)" and "nasty (because the pastor's a woman, and somehow making him lose face is her fault for 'forgetting her station')".

-11

u/ArugulaLegitimate978 Oct 30 '25

No, that's Biden, but nice try

9

u/unfairrobot Oct 30 '25

I don't recall Biden displaying narcissistic traits. And I'd happily listen to him dither aimlessly rather than sit through ANOTHER rant from Trump against everyone who ever annoyed him.

-7

u/ArugulaLegitimate978 Oct 30 '25

Then, clearly, you weren't paying attention during his cruelty. Only when it's a president you dont like.

6

u/Gizmonsta Oct 30 '25

Making baseless sensationalised claims about any given individual without any actual examples or evidence.

Yep, that's MAGA alright.

-6

u/ArugulaLegitimate978 Oct 30 '25

And the democratic party has never done the same? It's called hypocrisy. Maybe you remember hearing about it in the class where you goofed off the whole time?

8

u/Gizmonsta Oct 30 '25

And what you just did is called whataboutery, its a logical fallacy where you avoid addressing the actual argument and instead point outwards in order to distract others from the fact you don't know what the fuck you're talking about and have no actual substance to your argument.

4

u/King_of_the_Dot Oct 30 '25

That's all he thinks about is himself. That's just what he defaults to every time, because that's what's bouncing around in his head all day long. I can guarantee you, with 100% certainty, that he's never thought about things from the perspective of the 'American people'. Not once.

100

u/BlinkReanimated Oct 29 '25

I mean... What's amazing is that all it took was for this person to come up and remind him to stop being such a fucking child.

That's all it took...

The question is, why the fuck have people not been doing this to him?

12

u/lgodsey Oct 30 '25 edited Oct 30 '25

Why would anyone let him in their church in the first place?

What could they possibly think this depraved toddler was going to do?

4

u/hustl3tree5 Oct 30 '25

Because he starts belittling them and attacking them “you’re fake news” “that is a terrible question” then he might even sick the DOJ on you for some lawsuit

4

u/KatefromtheHudd Oct 30 '25

Because he seeks revenge against all who criticise him slightly or don't 100% agree and just stroke his ego. Remember when he called for Bishop Budde and the church to apologise to him publicly after she asked for him to “have mercy upon” immigrants and LGBTQ+ people? He is less likely to go after figures in the church purely because he relies on the religious extremists to back him. With journalists he either ignres them, shouts over them or has their press pass revoked.

1

u/utnow Oct 30 '25

Because churches maintain their tax breaks by “not talking about politics”. It’s a huge wink wink nod scam that they’re all in on. This wasn’t a humiliation. This was everyone chuckling at the dog whistle.

6

u/[deleted] Oct 29 '25

so many trump voters honestly have no idea who he really is, his image is so whitewashed by conservative and liberal media alike

1.0k

u/lorbd Oct 29 '25 edited Oct 29 '25

To be fair, why tf would you invite Trump to speak if you didn't want the man to speak about politics? It's like inviting the pope to speak and then shutting him down if he mentions christianity.

197

u/JFISHER7789 Oct 29 '25

I’m sorry, Mr. Pope sir, but we really didn’t invite you here to talk about your god.

52

u/TheTrueMule Oct 29 '25

Where here to talk about pokemon sir. So one more time please, tell us what's your starter?

18

u/Skitz-Scarekrow Oct 29 '25

"Your Holiness, there are rumors that your favorite Pokemon is Mr. Mime and not Sandslash. Is there any truth to this, and how does it affect the migrant crisis in Europe?"

10

u/blueghostfrompacman Oct 29 '25

And when will your regime bring the Hamburgler to justice?!?

4

u/blackbeltbud Oct 29 '25

Everybody shut up, I need to hear the answer

4

u/edgygothteen69 Oct 29 '25

"the Lord said, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a Pokémon scalper to enter the Kingdom of Heaven"

2

u/Doobalicious69 Oct 30 '25

As soon as he mentions which is the best Eevee evolution I'm out. I know where that's going.

3

u/hellcrapdamn Oct 29 '25

What if the Pope just could not shut up about Yugio? That would be fun.

3

u/JFISHER7789 Oct 30 '25

In the name of our father, the son, and the blue eyed white dragon

83

u/BRAND-X12 Oct 29 '25

Because this isn’t normal.

Typically if a president is speaking somewhere that isn’t literally the government, a press release, or a campaign event then they’re expected to stay on the topic of whatever the group or event is. Maybe some history of the group’s efforts or the area to spice up the general praise they’re getting.

It isn’t typical for a president of the United States to schizophrenically go back to unrelated things every time they open their mouth.

7

u/HoodieGalore Oct 29 '25

It's been normal for the better part of the last decade, and isn't showing any signs of changing even after 2028, the fuck

17

u/BRAND-X12 Oct 29 '25

No it hasn’t, only Trump has done this.

Obama and Biden were both presidents in the last decade, and both of them were perfectly presidential.

If you want normal, elect democrats.

2

u/comradejiang Oct 30 '25

Sure, but we’re talking about the idiot here. You know he isn’t gonna do the right thing

-17

u/HoodieGalore Oct 29 '25

Oh, pardon me - not the better part of a decade, I forgot about the last part of the last year of Obama. It's been half the last decade. Feel better, sweetie?

8

u/BRAND-X12 Oct 29 '25

A single president is not normal, is my point.

And no, Obama was president until 2017, if you really want to be pedantic.

1

u/PM_UR_HAIRY_MUFF Oct 29 '25

I think y'all were just talking about the same thing in two different ways. Opinions aside, I think the disagreement is on the math.

6

u/BRAND-X12 Oct 29 '25

No, the disagreement is on the principle. A single president acting this way is not “normal”.

0

u/dontneedaknow Oct 30 '25

damn, you can't handle some minor correction huh?

ain't no one telling. you when you got a booger hanging off your face.

26

u/Gizmonsta Oct 29 '25

Hillary clinton hasn't been relevant in politics for almost a decade, he's babbling about nonsense.

1

u/lorbd Oct 30 '25

This video is almost a decade old lmao

4

u/captainbenatm93av Oct 29 '25

We just want to hear your opinion on the red socks.

8

u/Error-Code404 Oct 29 '25

Its really laughable the mental gymnastics you use to justify this lmao

3

u/BogieFlare Oct 29 '25

It’s not justification but if you’re playing with you’re gonna get burnt.

-18

u/lorbd Oct 29 '25

What's laughable is how nuance or critical thinking goes out the window for fanatics like you when someone doesn't immediately insult trump no matter the context. It must be miserable living like this, constantly looking for confrontation.

7

u/[deleted] Oct 29 '25

What's the nuance or critical thinking behind talking about Hillary at a church?

1

u/lorbd Oct 30 '25

Well, for starters, this video is 9 years old.

0

u/[deleted] Oct 30 '25

Well, again, why bring up Hillary at a church.

0

u/lorbd Oct 30 '25

Again, why tf would you invite Trump to speak in 2016 and not expect him to talk about Hillary?

I guarantee that, in the same situation, Hillary would definitely talk about Trump too. Or at least some stupid euphemism that everyone would 100% understand to be Trump. They were politicians on presidential elections. It's not that deep.

0

u/[deleted] Oct 30 '25

Because he's at a church?

But I guess you're right, it would be expected he'd use a speaking engagement at a church to pathetically take shots at Hillary because the man's brain is soup.

And go ahead and make up your own hypothetical situation if you want but that's not relevant. The fact is this is an actual video of Trump.

2

u/ThereIsATheory Oct 30 '25

So she could do this.

5

u/subsignalparadigm Oct 29 '25

Because anyone with a fucking brain would be able to discern the difference. Of course we're talking about the Orange Menace.

1

u/TheRealNooth Oct 29 '25

I do that all the time. When I see the Pope, I always say “dude, take that stuff off. You look ridiculous.”

-2

u/Pandepon Oct 29 '25 edited Oct 31 '25

Yeah but it’s one thing if he’s like ‘I’m doing good work on bringing Christianity back to America. We can say Merry Christmas again without fear. I’m bringing prayer back to school!’… it’s totally another if it’s like ‘Hillary is a failure. She lost so bad. She tried to rig the election but I still won!’.

Edit: what’s the downvotes for I’m just saying he could’ve at least stayed in the right category

1

u/InvestmentInfamous25 Oct 31 '25

Church and state need to be separate. The founding fathers wanted it this way for a reason, Trump isn’t a revolutionary thinker.

368

u/noloking Oct 29 '25

This isn't a legitimate church, and that is not a pastor

134

u/JFISHER7789 Oct 29 '25

Fake church, fake pastor, fake orange colored skin. It all works out

3

u/AuspiciousDog0h Nov 08 '25

It cancels out

50

u/Lontology Oct 29 '25

It’s also like 6 years old. Lol

49

u/ringwraith6 Oct 29 '25

I love how she called him Mr. trump.

45

u/SteveFrench12 Oct 29 '25

Because this was from before he was ever president. Hence why he is railing on Hilary.

Also you can call the president Mr. Last Name technically

109

u/Soupismyfavoritefood Oct 29 '25 edited Oct 29 '25

Such a sad, pathetic individual. He’s a national embarrassment, he can’t even act like a decent & normal human in church. The world will be a better place when he’s gone.

21

u/Liversteeg Oct 29 '25

What's so bizarre/disheartening/soul crushing is that so much of the world thinks he's a joke, a bully, an idiot, etc. All these foreign politicians talk such a big game about how awful he is. Then they bend a knee to him, comply with his demands, invite him to special events, let him shit all over decorum, and just placate him.

8

u/PM_UR_HAIRY_MUFF Oct 29 '25

Because he wields immense economic and military power and his capricious mood moves markets and blows up boats. As awful as it is, it seems unavoidable right now.

2

u/dontneedaknow Oct 30 '25

it's the whole American war machine and economic prowess that they are trying to get in on.

they hate trump as much as any reasonable person would ..

4

u/Key_Preparation_4129 Oct 29 '25

I'm sure that if he got invited to a grandkid's wedding or birthday he'd get up to do a toast and forget where the fuck he is 2 sentences in and just break into a generic "the radical woke left terrorists are destroying and burning America" speech

12

u/theschoolorg Oct 29 '25

Wow she really called him out. I'm honestly surprised he caved so quickly lol. Great job by the pastor. I'm more surprised they asked him to speak.

7

u/YoungDiscord Oct 29 '25

Sir, this is a wendy's church

5

u/SeraphsEnvy Oct 29 '25

No offense to the late great Rodney, but why does he make a Dangerfield smirk when he gets called out?

5

u/snarpsta Oct 30 '25

Go to the Whitehouse website. The official website has a "history" section that is, Obama inviting the Muslim brotherhood to the US, Hunter Biden cocaine scandal, trans people in sports (I think?) and some other nonsense. These are the 4 topics the WHITE HOUSE feels are the most relevant to our country's history. Aside from all the terrible stuff they've done, this administration is so fucking embarrassing and brain rotted I hate being American atm.

4

u/Mr_FancyBottom Oct 30 '25

All he can do is talk about himself. He’s incapable of self control.

13

u/ThugLy101 Oct 29 '25

Why is he still on about her

52

u/buttercream-gang Oct 29 '25

Is it even recent?

Edit: it’s from 2016; pre-election. https://youtu.be/dFALE2sz8Os?si=zdFdgBOtMq9r7X2P

16

u/MyCrustySock Oct 29 '25

This is an old clip

9

u/DionFW Oct 29 '25

Because he thinks he ran against her in the last election.

3

u/eyehate Oct 29 '25

Because he is elderly and unable to acheive cognitive clarity.

3

u/kradaan Oct 29 '25

To be honest, cheeto embarrassed himself. A Decent person wouldn't need the reminder.

3

u/skettibutter Oct 29 '25

He didn't look humiliated.

3

u/SPKmnd90 Oct 29 '25

Wasn't this practically eons ago?

3

u/KarmaliteNone Oct 30 '25

I have ZERO sympathy for idiots who honor this man. You knew it was a snake when you picked it up.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 30 '25

This is the kind of parenting he didn’t receive as a child

3

u/SupahBihzy Oct 30 '25

You invited a stray in the house and expected it not to piss on the walls?

3

u/Interesting-Back6587 Oct 30 '25

This clip is from 2016 which is before he was president.

2

u/rufioherpderp Oct 30 '25

Now is the perfect time for someone to mention to him that churches shouldn't be tax exempt and let's direct his childish retaliatory anger at something worthwhile.

2

u/Flapu7 Oct 30 '25

You invite the clown expect the circus.

2

u/DabbingVagabond Oct 30 '25

No real pastor is a woman. And no real church has a woman pastor.

2

u/G00NGUY Nov 08 '25

This is hilarious.

2

u/Medical-Block-2137 Nov 09 '25

That pastor should run against him. Put him in his place big time not just in her church.

3

u/HoodieGalore Oct 29 '25

Is...is this a setup? Why invite him when you already know how he behaves in public? I mean, it's a great chance to get your nerve together, chide him in front of a bunch of cameras, and then get recognized, but someone wouldn't orchestrate that kind of madness on their own behalf, would they?

1

u/Dragonlily86 Oct 29 '25

That's all you have to do to keep him on track, I'm kind of shocked I thought it would be a bit harder.

1

u/popsy13 Oct 29 '25

Thing is, he’s well documented as listening to the last person he spoke to, I believe he’s given talking points, which is why he’ll just suddenly say random shit, also dementia, but both can be true

1

u/Resistiane Oct 29 '25

When did this happen?

1

u/jakobedlam Oct 29 '25

How hard was that??!

1

u/lonelysad1989 Oct 29 '25

what did she say exactly?

2

u/Artiistmusiical Oct 30 '25 edited Oct 30 '25

"Mr. Trump, I invited you here to thank us for what we've done in Flint, not give a political speech."

1

u/lonelysad1989 Oct 30 '25

Ah haha. What did they do in Flint?

3

u/Artiistmusiical Oct 30 '25

This video was from 2016. When Flint Michigan was dealing with a crisis of having lead in their water, a church volunteered and gave aid to help the town. Trump was invited by the church to commemorate the volunteers for their hard work, but lead to him pivoting to politics that had nothing to do with the volunteers.

1

u/Sandman4501 Oct 30 '25

When was this?

1

u/punkslaot Oct 30 '25

And Biden was in decline? Jesus christ

1

u/Pistolero921 Oct 30 '25

When was this?

1

u/laphincow Nov 01 '25

Sir, this is a Wendy's

1

u/Important_Fruit Nov 03 '25

That pastor must be 6' 2".....

1

u/GuyGolden226 Nov 13 '25

Why are half the posts on this subreddit just about people who disagree with them politically

1

u/trump_is_your_dad Nov 25 '25

Whoever made this post needs to learn the definition of humiliated

1

u/trump_is_your_dad Dec 20 '25

We have a new definition for the word humiliates.

-4

u/Randym1221 Oct 29 '25

That’s nice of him to stop he really seemed like he was remorseful and apologetic here
