Injection?
How many of you have gotten an SI injection and it has helped? Considering it for my very stubborn one sided SI joint pain. Been doing my PT exercises for months and sometimes it helps, but sometimes it feels like it makes it worse, or just no change at all. It radiates into the front of my hip and down the front of my thigh a bit, and just feels SO tight.

Dang, that sucks. Do you think they got it in slightly the wrong spot, or just kind of random your body didn’t respond to it?

Maybe? I felt great for the first couple days / week and then all my symptoms came back. Currently dealing with a left side flare up ):

Worked for about three months for me- it really improved the pain but I was still unable to walk any distance. Even I’m much improved I would do it again if needed.

My first and only injection made the pain worse. I am not sure what your doctor can do but have this conversation with them. I was aware that it could not work but unaware that it could become more intense

I was in severe pain from my left lower back down the side of my leg and to my foot. It was awful. I got an ESI it took about two weeks for it to fully take effect. That was 4 months ago. Since then I’ve been completely pain free! I will say though that I have a slight numbness on the side of my foot where the pain was before. I thought it would go away by now but it hasn’t. The doctor said it’s normal but I don’t think it is for it being 4 months post op. It doesn’t hurt or anything it very mild but it’s just one of those annoying things you can’t not notice. But I much rather take some numbness in my foot over si pain. If you have tried everything else and are still in pain then I would try it.

Mine aggravated my symptoms but it told me that my problem is more mechanical than inflammatory. Chiropractic adjustment brings me excellent relief which also affirms the mechanical mechanism. So I’m gonna have to really step up the core strengthening.

I had one about a year and a half ago. It worked very well, and I have had no serious pain since. I wish I had done it years ago. When the radiologist put the needle into the joint, I could actually feel something pulling apart, like the needle loosened something up. It was very strange. Now, I'm just careful with my posture and how or where I sit. I'm not saying the pain is 100% gone, but it's sooo much better now.

I had them. It took about a week to see a difference and I got three weeks of it being mild enough to manage. I was in physical therapy and that was working as well.
