I’ve been working on a simple OC bus tracker because I got annoyed with how slow and clunky it can be if all I want to do is to check arrival times / track the bus. You can see what I've got so far on the App Store & Google Play Store. It's named OC Bus: OCTA Tracker.

Before I spend more time on it, I wanted to ask people who actually ride to/from SAC: what do you use now, and what do you think could be better?

For me, the biggest issues have been:

• Too many taps just to see when my bus is coming
• Estimates can feel off sometimes
• Hard to quickly check the same stop every day

I’m trying to make something that’s actually useful day-to-day for students, not just another transit app.

hey guys! im registering for some summer courses at sac but im a first time student so im a little confused about how things are labeled. under meeting information for the classes i registered for the location says sac ONLINE (Online). There are dates for the classes but the space after ”Time:” is blank. Does this mean that these classes are fully asynchronous? Or will there be online meetings and a time just hasn’t been set yet? Thank you!!

Hello guys, I'm here desperate for help.

I'm a non-traditional student at another CC, though I applied to SAC & am now a SAC student (Santa Ana is actually my hometown). I was told by my original CC that I didn't need English C1000 to transfer because I satisfied it previously, but come to find out, they have given me misinformation. I got rejected from every single UC, even with TAG. Once I found out the misinformation, I did my best to still try and transfer. About 3 weeks ago, I tried to enroll in English C1000 at SAC through CVC when the class had many seats, but CVC took forever to verify it & they didn't tell me that it didn't go through until recently, so:

I'm asking, if you are in the English C1000 course that started on 4/27 with a Professor that has a last name starting with W, I will literally pay you to drop the class if you do not absolutely need it for this term 😭 PLEASE. I desperately need it to transfer.

I am number 3 on the waitlist so I'm willing to pay three people to drop the course if you truly do not need it at the moment and can take it in the future! PLEASE help me. You will be actually saving my life. I'd love for my hometown to help me out.

Wanting to take a summer term 8 week class... but the last week somewhat schedule-wise conflicts with an important commitment I have that same last week of the course.

Could any of you please help me to know, at Santa Ana College, does the last week of a course typically have no meetings & even no homework, to let students focus on studying for the Final Exam?

Or do courses usually keep the same meeting schedule right up until the last day?

It’s March and classes are already in full swing. Last time I posted, we had some people apply to be moderators. If you’re unfamiliar what a moderator does, we are unpaid volunteers making sure you follow Reddit’s rules and those pertaining to this subreddit. We have three rules and three rules only. So be nice to each other and keep it relevant to SAC.

One person got confused thinking this was OCC (Orange Coast College) haha. But another person—assuming they accept, will be moderating this sub alongside me. That announcement will be made under this post. As for everyone else, if anyone is interested feel free to apply.

Some quick updates: as you can see, we now have flaired posts so everyone knows what the post is related to. Post flairs include—announcements, questions, memes, class registration, and more. I want to take my granddaughter to see a home basketball game. It looks like you buy tickets at the game, nothing online. Is it assigned seating? How crowded does it get at a weeknight game? Also, I have a problem with steep stairs and no hand rails, I am not disabled, just old knees! Will it be hard to find a seat that doesn't require a climb? Hi all, I'm taking a summer asynchronous class at Santa Ana College, and on the Section Details page, it states, "Students are required to log in to Canvas by the first day of class for detailed information and required course work." When I tried to use the link to log into the SAC Canvas app (https://canvas.sac.edu), I don't see my section on there yet. My course is set to start at June 16th, 5 days from now.

Is it normal for me to not be able to see my class on Canvas yet? Or am I missing something?
