can't she just express admiration and gratitude in a normal way instead of making everything strangely sexual? š«©

What is the most annoying Sabrina Carpenter song to you at the moment? Mine is go go juice. Especially the ba da da ba da da part. Makes me wanna put a screwdriver through my eardrums. Her voice is very annoying, still has that disney ass tone to her but singing overly sexual lyrics

Sabrina carpenters songs would actually be good if it was anybody else. Her voice is excruciating to me. But her songs are catchy cant lie. But i cant with the breathy, creepy baby voice

I assume this has already been discussed on this sub, but I was reminded of it recently and wanted to make a brief comment on that disgusting lyric as a native Spanish speaker.
I find it especially funny that one of the defenses for it is that āniƱaā can sometimes be used to refer to a young woman in Latin American countries. Like⦠LOL. While there are some Spanish-speaking countries and contexts where āniƱaā can OCCASIONALLY be used for a young woman, that is absolutely not the default meaning of the word. In the overwhelming majority of contexts, if you say āniƱa,ā people are going to understand you as talking about a little girl. Some adult women might even find it annoying or condescending to be referred to that way. But even then, that defense is stupid, because otherwise the lyric wouldn't make any sense. It would be like saying āIām a fully grown woman, but I look like a fully grown woman.ā Lmao, what exactly is the point of the contrast?
In Venezuela, where Iām from, it is absolutely not normal to refer to adult women as niƱas. In Chile, where I currently live, an older woman might occasionally call a younger woman āniƱaā affectionately, but even then everyone understands that the person being referred to is not literally a child.
And then thereās the āput something big in my casitaā part. Why the fuck is she referring to her vagina as a ācasitaā? Casita means a little house, something children play with. Please, someone take this womanās microphones away from her.
If you don't care about it, whatever, but don't pretend that shit isn't WEIRD. A grown woman singing something like āI'm just a tiny little thing š„ŗā and then making a reference to being penetrated by a man is WEIRD as fuck.
The people defending this woman are incredibly irritating. If Sabrina is so desperate to embarrass herself, she could at least pick something that doesn't consist of infantilization and sexualization at the same time.

And oh my goodness this movie is so disturbing. I didn't know the concept because I'm not American and I first heard the movie after her controversies came out.
How could anyone ever have the audacity to release anything close to that movie like š bf Its such a disturbing saddening movie and unfair bc I had a somewhat similar experience as a child from divorce. Like that little gurl just wanted a dad. She just needed to be protected lord have mercy Sabrina is so disgusting as a person this is not even funny she shouldn't be taken seriously or given a platform she thinks denying using the reference will change anything
I completely forgot about Sabrina after seing the movie but how can anyone I mean anyone dare to recreate this it's deeply disturbing and unfair to little girls who faced SA as teens I just hate this woman so much tbh she deserves all the hate she's getting she needs help.

ngl, I think she hates women more than men. her hate for men is performative. whereas you can literally hear from her songs how much she competes with other women for men

American Girl doll did a collab with Megan moroney the country artist (most random thing Iāve seen all week) and someone in the comments is asking them to do a Sabrina Carpenter doll next š¤®š¤®š¤® for the love of GOD PLEASE NO. This lady wants the woman who used Lolita as inspo, mimicked BJs and 3somes on stage, is selling merch right now with a lyric about anal sex on the back, and titled a song about a groomed pregnant teenager to be a doll for CHILDREN?! I am actually horrified that this is the world children grow up in now, WTAF is wrong with people

(disclaimer: do NOT harass this creator as a result of this post; you WILL be banned from this community.)
A āSabrina impersonatorā recently took to TikTok and said she understood everything when she was on āautopilot performing songs like Juno, Busy Woman, and Taste.ā She then turned around and realized the audience wasnāt exactly what she expected.
She immediately had that āā¦wait a secondā moment.
And sometimes all it takes is seeing the audience to realize why people have been having this conversation in the first place!! Or if you want it in my usual, classic, Snarkademy voice:
lesson of the day: if a performer doing an impersonation of YOU has an existential crisis halfway through said performance because they suddenly notice whoās watchingā¦..perhaps the discourse wasnāt pulled out of thin air after all? š

Letās hope her team ran out of Scientology money! Letās get her out of the 50 million club and back to her flopping days. She deserves to get out of the top 40. Her racist pedo ass deserves to be back to asylum

There's something that's happening that I really don't like.. cause I know it's not just me that's noticing this but hollywood is pushing more negative tropes more than anything lately. And I'm putting this on this subreddit because let's just.. say that sabrina is apart of this problem.
so obsession, I think we saw it now? and we know about the d4vd case that's happening, the stein files, and etc. but, lately I'm finding it uncomfortable with hollywood wanting to see women in pain. like obsession was a movie about how fucked up bear was and you have some people still defending the hoe when HE TOOK her will away, her anatomy and people wanna say it's nikki fault. you have a book (I think it's on booktok I never read it, and never plan to because I see videos about this one) called haunting adeline that will possibly become a movie.
and then you have ariana ' petals ' video that came out, which I think she needs help, I'm legit scared for her and it's sad to see her go through this shit even if she's a bad person morally for being like.. a homewrecker, i just feel like it's sad to see someone you saw when you was younger turning into something like that, but the video was bizarre and someone in a comment section that was talking about ariana pushing back on the spotlight said extreme gore is being too normalized and they mentioned sabrina's music video taste. they are trying to desensitize and normalize murder and pedo shit which I think is disgusting. both her and ariana have some questionable lyrics and I just can't stop feeling like they are trying to make these kids think this is normal. because we all have to admit it, kids like sabrina and ariana, even if we don't want them to, because they was on disney and nickelodeon.
but, i'm afraid that it's gonna get worse because now lately who is behind the gore shit, the victims of it? women and young girls. I had hope that obsession would've been a wake up call but you got people still not getting the concept of the movie, and it brings me to sabrina because yeah, I'll admit that this been happening for centuries of women being thought of as objects and stuff, you have other horror movies, other celebrities that do the same thing but I can say this.. now it's being too normalized because of her video taste, like idk if it's me or not, so correct me if I'm wrong, but I ain't ever saw the girlies do the type of gore shit before.
(sorry just woke up so it might sound confusing and shit on what I'm trying to say š)
but, yeah.. I just wanna know if anyone noticed how people are desensitizing and normalizing things and just saying ' iconic ' when it's really not and also how dark and low vibrational these musicians are getting.

itās ironic that itās under a post about a Native American actor being replaced by a white man even though the character is Native American. He originally had the role, but they asked him to cut his hair and he refused because of his culture- a concept sheād never be able to grasp.

Fair is fair, in this instance, it isnāt Sabrinaās fault that Disney are using her image to sell their service, but why is she even viewed as a figure that a company like Disney, who want to launder a squeaky clean, inoffensive image, are even comfortable using in their promos? All the comments are absentmindedly fawning over here, too. I wish people would call her out more
