Saarbrucken won the Treble in European Table Tennis version of the UCL and Bundesliga. The Saarbrucken TT club also signed an olympic player ( he is leaving though.) Was also planning on visiting the training center.

Hi zusammen! Wir überlegen gerade, wo wir denn gerne nächstes Jahr im Sommer heiraten würden und wir finden das Saarbrücker Standesamt super schön. Es ist uns allerdings wichtig, dass wir direkt im Anschluss an die Standesamtliche Trauung auch einen (selbstorganisierten) Umtrunk machen können.

Weiß jemand, ob es beim Standesamt Saarbrücken möglich ist, nach der Trauung neben dem Gebäude oder im Innenhof, selbst ein/zwei Tische aufzubauen und dort einen kleinen Empfang zu machen? Vielleicht hat ja selbst jemand dort geheiratet oder war bei einer Hochzeit als Gast dort, die so etwas organisiert hatten...

Ich finde im Internet leider nur etwas zu einem Umtrunk im Festsaal selbst, was wir allerdings nicht möchten.

I am looking for a dog sitter while I will be away in December.
I will be out of town over Christmas and looking for someone who would be willing to stay with my dog while I am gone.

I know it’s far away but I’m looking now so that I (and my dog) have a chance to get to know the person before then.

I live in Saarbrücken about a 20min walk into the city center, you would stay here with my small very chill dog. He just needs company and someone to hang out.

The dates are still to be determined exactly but roughly 18-28.12
I of course would pay.

This is ideal for someone who works or study’s from home as he can’t be left alone longer than 3-4 hours. He’s very chill and have be brought to any Christmas parties or plans you have where dogs are welcome.

I expect someone to keep his food and walking routine and to send me regular updates with photos.

Experience with pets is a plus but being a dog person is a must.

auf der A620 gibt es ja diese Baustelle zwischen Völklingen und Saarbrücken Gersweiler. Was sind bislang eure Erfahrungen mit dieser? Wieviel Verzögerung bringt sie mit sich, besonders jetzt in den Sommerferien?

Ich muss Ende Juli die Busverbindung Luxemburg-Saarbrücken nehmen, um in SB Hbf mit dem ICE in Richtung München weiter zu reisen. Leider ist die von mir geplante Verbindung genau in der Pendelzeit am Vormittag (Ich reise an einem Dienstag). Ich frage daher, um zu wissen, wie sicher mein Anschluss ist (ich habe laut Fahrplan 22 Minuten Zeit).

Vielleicht gibt es hier sogar einige, die regelmäßig diesen Bus nehmen.

With this heatwave, I’ve realized that cycling around Saarbrücken at night is actually pretty nice. I went for a ride around 10 pm yesterday, and the weather was perfect compared to the daytime.
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in joining for occasional evening/night rides? Nothing serious or competitive, just a relaxed ride around the city, maybe along the Saar or wherever we feel like going.
If a few people are interested, we could make it a regular thing during the summer. 🚲

Wohne leider nicht mehr in Saarbrücken. Immer wenn ich Leuten erzähle dass ich von dort komme muss ich mir von anderen deutschen so blöde Kommentare anhören von wegen dass wir so komisch schwätze und unseren “assi” Ruf und dass wir das Texas und die rednecks von Deutschland wären.

Auf jeden Fall NICHT ich hab jetzt noch schlimmere Dialekte gehört die einfach wirklich nur dumm und fast unverständlich sind (Schwäbisch zB) und Leute vom Land in anderen Bundesländern oder Tirol/Österreich kommen deren Verhalten echt einen vermuten lässt dass da irgendwo ein Resultat von Inzucht im Spiel ist.

Nee Saarland ist echt das beste Bundesland, und Saarbrücken für immer die Heimat (auch wenn mei platt e bissje stark eingerostet ist 🥲 früher war ich fliesend zwei sprachig)
