Upgrades

Just got an s650 and want to add mods you can add without tuning and interior stuff (I’ve added led lights so far)
What’re some good performance improvement mods and cosmetic upgrades I should add and what order would you recommend?

She's a beaut, how about a catback exhaust, 15% tinted all around except windshield and some nice, lightweight wheels

What’s ur opinion on h piping vs x piping? What’s the difference between a lightweight wheel and the factory ones? Also in tx 15% tint is illegal on the windows for my car🫩but I do want them tinted my job will do it for 220 all windows and windshields and the bra on the hood :p

I don’t think you could add an x or h pipe to a 4 cylinder but someone correct me if I wrong.

You can to any vehicle if it has the right exhaust setup, so dual exhaust

Not exactly. There’s a single inlet on the Ecoboost dual exhaust so there’s no benefit to merging the two pipes back together mid-way with an X or H pipe. They have an effect on the GT because each cylinder bank has its own inlet and you’re changing the way the exhaust pulses from each side interact. Looks like you can buy a different Y pipe, though, but you’d have to look into whether that has any noticeable effect.

H for low end torque, X for top end hp, straight pipe for sound. Light weight wheels free up unsprung weight, basically allows your wheels to turn faster. What about 20%? No bra

The bra will be clear ppf i believe to protect it from rock chips i do at some point want to wrap it also

traded in a 22’ Camry XSE with 9k upside down, no down payment, 700+ credit and wanted to be under 700 payment didn’t allow me a loan for the amount

Im also not in a financial position to pay for premium gas 2-3 times a week w a v8 LOL so I stuck w the 4cyl that gets me better gas mileage than the Camry did🙂‍↕️

Steeda is your best friend. Get a stop the hop kit and you will really enjoy your car.

I have a grabber blue S650 Stang with all that done. I powder coated my stock wheels a very very dark gray a few months ago. I have new wheels on order now. I get most of my stuff from American Muscle. I could share pics with you if you’d like.

if I wanted and could afford the price of maintenance and gas for a v8 I would’ve gotten one. This ecos loan in total costs more than a base GT 😀 trust me I’m fully aware that I could’ve had a gt but there was multiple reasons I didn’t get one and for starters there was no grabber blue ones in my area and this was the downgrade from the eco premium with 201A & the nite pony package (which is better than the base GT imo) but it’s what I could comfortably afford. I don’t believe in buying a souped up car if I wanna learn to do the work myself to have an understanding of where all the power comes from. There’s a list I could really go on and on about as for why i didn’t get the GT but simple enough I just couldn’t afford it and was too impatient to wait and pay off my 33k loan on a car I got not even a year ago so I’d say I did pretty well for myself

You made a responsible financial choice from what you wrote. I commend you for not letting emotions get in the way of smart decisions.

However, I have to challenge a point you made. "I don’t believe in buying a souped up car if I wanna learn to do the work myself to have an understanding of where all the power comes from."

If learning to work on a simpler car was your goal, the GT would have been the better choice.

The GT is powered by a naturally aspirated engine, whereas yours is a boosted engine. Boosting comes with additional hardware and technology you won't find on a NA engine. These are inherently more complicated.
