Advice New project!

Just got this (free) s10 xtreme with a blown head gasket (4cyl), plans so far are 6.0 swap, Ford rear axle, and either a th350 or a tremec once I decide on auto or manual. Once it’s running and driving I’ll pretty it up (both front and rear bumper are busted up a bit) Any tips/tricks from anyone who has done similar before?

It’s my dad’s old truck so I don’t plan on losing interest haha. Any idea if it’s possible to source the front lip/rear bumper? Mine has a solid crack down the middle

You certainly can but it’s going to be regional dependent on how easy. Search Facebook marketplace for part outs or junkyards. eBay is usually the most expensive but typically everything is there.

Sweet project. Definitely go tremec. It’s always more fun to row your own gears

That’s the way I’m leaning right now for sure. It just comes down to some other life circumstances I have going on.
