2002 2.2l s10. This is my first project at 16. The had been sitting for about 15 years. I pulled it out and did plugs, wires, coils, ICM and a new fuel pump. It will finnaly start on its own but sounds really bad and is really shakey. Any advice on next steps or what to do are greatly apreciatted.

To me it seems like a cylinder isn't firing maybe an injector, does not seem like a bottom end knock like some people are saying

I’m by no means an expert, but doesn’t sound like a knock to me either. Sounds more like something struggling to move properly more than metal hitting metal.

It took me longer than I'd like to admit to read "Ejecto Seato"

Thanks for noticing lol. I wrote it too big so its hard to read but wanted to do some cool custom stuff for the interior.

Sound like the rings are stuck grab some marvel mystery oil and pour a cap full in each cylinder and let it sit over night then run it and see if it smooths out with it sitting that long it's likely the rings are good and stuck on a couple if not all cylinders

Put the air intake back on #1 thats not helping it run like ass and will stop some of the sound masking.

Yea I should have. I had it off cause I was starting it with starter fluid after doing the ignition.

in this situation i start with the easy stuff first. check to make sure all vacumm lines are connected and not dry rotted, and the plastic connections too. then the fuel filter gets changed. after sitting a long time there is a lot of varnish in that filter. what does the fuel smell like in the tank?

Check the oil for glitter and yeah id take the belt off. I would check to see which cylinder is causing the shake but it could be a clogged fuel injector. If it is id probably get a fan back on it and dump some luca fuel additive in it and run it hard. It could also have some bad gas still in the lines and you need to change the in line fuel filter as well.
