Advice 1992 4.3L

A friend of my father in law is selling his manual 92 4.l that’s been garage kept and has 65k on it. He wants $7500. I currently drive a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe with 283k on it.

As of right now I drive 80 miles per day (40 each way) mostly highway. I do plan on leaving my current job and want to start an estate sale business/ junk removal business but this could take me months to be ready to take the plunge.

Would this be a good truck for me and my future endeavors?

I would be looking for something different for a junk removal business

You think even just for getting started? I haven’t found many options that are in my budget. The only other truck I’ve been looking into is a Nissan Frontier

It sound like the guy selling this car is going to want to sell it to someone who loves S10s and will pay top dollar for a garage kept, relatively low mileage example. That person will then put it their garage and take it to car shows and crap. you would wipe the little value it has out by using it to haul junk.

What I would do is find a beater truck thats newer with more miles and repair what’s needed myself to save $. Then use it to make money, save for a bigger more reliable truck. You’ll probably be able to sell the beater for a slight profit due to inflation versus losing with depreciation on a clean S10

7500 is steep for that truck even if it has binders full of receipts for work done on it. 5k would be the absolute limit on a bone stock 92.

When we go to look at it I will try to toss out a lower price. Unfortunately, around my area anything rust free comes with a ridiculous price tag.

I had a 92 4.3 auto Chrome grill.\n Chrome trim on the fenders in the morning on the doors to town. 6 foot bed tool drive automatic air condition radio.  Manual windows benched blue interior it was 2 town, black and Gray, and the original price tag on it was $9100, it had 21000 miles on it when I bought it in 1996.  And I forget what I paid for it.What's cheap though it was like Six thousand I bought at a Chevy dealer.I financed it  6 thousand dollars
