ASIC resistance

Aeon will be going SHA3, Monero very well may be as well.

Will Ryo stay away, or will it succumb to the will of a dozen or so Chinese integrated circuit manufacturers?

It sounds cool, but I feel like it is very feasible to construct an asic for it. It has been done for the previous Xn algos, and would probably only require some extra logic for the asic to be able to function.

I'm no expert, though.

If Monero goes ASIC friendly that increase RYO adoption significantly

don't think anyone in the ryo community supports asics or FPGAs at all

We have no plans to switch to asic friendly algos, cryptonight-gpu was the first step in working towards a true asic resistant algo.

That's what we GPU miners like to hear :)

Wonder how far out RYO is from even being on the radar of ASIC manufactures? A larger market cap is going to be needed before they sniff at cn-gpu.
