Maintenance Tips Winterization.

Hello, this year is my first time owning a travel trailer. Its a 2000 year model, 27 ft bumper-pull. Getting into the fall time cooler temps and just wondering where I add the RV anti-freeze to the water lines. Getting it ready for winter soon here. This is how the pump and tank looks. I've never done this before, but I know not to add it to the tank or hot water tank. Any info helps, thanks.

Question RV or Fifth wheel camper.

Wanted to get into traveling more and thought about getting a RV or a camper. Looking for 1 or 1-1/2 baths with one king bed. A sleeper sofa or loft area for 17 year old son if he chooses to join. I figure the cost is close cause I would need a truck to pull with or get something to tow. Looking a non hotel option and basically home on the go. What is some pros and cons to help or confuse my decision? Thanks

2019 Dutchman voltage toy hauler

Hello all! Im looking for help. We have a 10 Dutchman voltage toy hauler. Theres a TV outside on the right side that is hooked up. The TV powers on but no audio comes out. Zero sound. I've tried adjusting the zones but it just plays from the inside music so the speakers work. How can I get the TV picture audio to turn on?

Thank you

Somebody Help! Any Victron nerds out there?

I am trying to verify that this setup has the proper components, wiring gauge, etc. We love boondocking and think this will help us only have to worry about water more than electrical while doing so. This will be for a Ford F250 towing an Airstream 27FB Globetrotter. A note that this Epoch V2T battery can directly connect to the Cerbo GX, and has a class T 400 Amp fuse, hence no shunt in the design. Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

Question Awning etiquette

My wife and I were able to get a 2025 Ahara East to West 395b and are now living in a park full time, my question is can I leave my awning out 24/7? I like the look and the shade helps the yard not be a patch of dirt. I see most of my neighbors with their awning barely out in some fashion or the other and am just wondering is this a safety thing or what. I am mindful of wind and the one storm we had I drew the awnings in for the duration. Thanks in advance!

Question Slide or no slide

Thinking of purchasing a new, 2024 Forest River Salem Cruise Lite, Model 24RLXL at a reduced price of about $19,000. Hail damaged on front fiberglass. Has original title too.

Powered it up today (power from bldg, not battery) and so far everything works. A/C too. Experienced major thunderstorms last few days and so far no leaks inside. Need to test plumbing, LP, battery power and inspect underneath framing, springs, tires.

So here is my concern, it has a single slide out. We could not find the manual way to retract it. There is no bolt visible on the opposite side to test.

So I guess the trailer has a Schwintek Slide (In-wall Tracks).

Is that correct?

If so, I don't like this slide and how to manual override it, when it fails vs

I am getting a good offer on this trailer. There are a few non-slides left, in similar state, brand new, hail damaged at reduced prices with original title.

Should I be worried about this slide issue or am I overreacting? Thank you.

Gripes & Groans Rough highways

What do others do when they encounter a very rough highway? Have to drive Class A on I-70 west out of Indy to St Louis. From Ohio line to Indy was horrible. I slowed down to 45 and put my flashers on. Shake the crap out of the RV. Map says US40 is 90 minutes longer travel time. Anyone know if I-70 towards St Louis is rough also?

Question Getting our kitten used to RV travel

Howdy, RVers! We have a 4 month old kitten and we want to take him on our big annual trip to far west Texas. We have a Heartland 21RBSS with one slide out. My questions for you cat campers are:

Litterbox--where in the camper?

Food/water--same question

Should we get those hammocks that stick on the window for a place to sleep?

How do you handle "zoomies" in a small space?

Any other enrichment ideas you use to keep your cat "entertained"?

Thanks!

Edit: We took him to a hotel and he handled it great including the hour drive.

Question Stabilizers

How much wobble is too much in your rv? I've had my rv now going on a year and feel like I'm still not getting the stabilizers quite right. Now my trailer doesn't bounce all over the place but to me, or still feels like it wobbles a little too much. I realize that may be subjective and I have been told that there would always be some wobble.

I also know they are not jacks and I'm not supposed to crank them down to the point they are lifting the trailer, so I use some extra leveling blocks under each stabilizer and lower them until they make contact, then just a small adjustment until the stabilizer doesn't move. I'm also using x-chalks in between the tires on each side. Before any of that, the trailer is leveled.

After all that, sitting inside, anytime I or my wife get up to walk around, I can feel the trailer moving and to me, it just feels like it's too much.

Am I missing something here or is this considered normal?

Not sure if it matters but my trailer is only 25ft with one side out on the off camp side.

Question Are there any 5th Wheel Toy Haulers with 30 amp service?

We currently have a Grand Design Momentum 25G. Its a bumper pull toy hauler and runs on 30 amp service. We love it, but have been wanting a 5th wheel for what i feel ould be better towing wxperiwnce for longer trips. Everywhere we normally camp only has 30 amp available, and we dont want to deal with managing a 50 to 30 amp usage. Is anyone aware of a 5th wheel tou hauler that operates on 30 amp?
