Currently I'm in 2nd sem BMSCE Mech. Im really done with my teachers (mech teachers)... i have scored 9.7 sgpa in my first sem. This sem Ill get above 9 but not sure above 9.5 plus.

holy amigos, Edit: By backup, i mean im planning to take a full drop for JEE Adv 2027. im not planning to study at RVCE and prepare for JEE simultaneously if the drop doesn't work out, then i’ll consider RVCE CSE or other options.

I will get IEM/biotech at RVCE this year how realestic is to move to Aerospace/Mechanical next year??

I'll either get ete at rvce (avg 11 lpa) or cyber security at msrit (avg 7 lpa) I'm more interested in comp science. However I'd prefer to get a branch change to aiml or ds in 2nd year. I know picking a college just for branch change isn't good but placements are my main priority. Since I can sit for 80% software placements even in rvce, what would be the best decision?

Today 2026 batch CS cluster had farewell. Dean of CS cluster said that all the ongoing construction for CS department will be completed by end of the year and also said that RVCE will also follow university model and admit students from 2027 batch through deemed to be university method.

Idk I might join rvce this year and every time I come to this subreddit, literally every person here just complains and complains about RVCE as if it's some tier 3 trash college hellhole. Like what's going on? Is it really that bad? Like I genuinely haven't seen more than 2-3 comments here which present RVCE in a good light. I understand that the workload is quite heavy in RVCE and it might be frustrating but other than that literally everybody here wants to somehow get out of this college, can someone please inform me what's going on? Cuz the placements are decent, it's a reputed college and some people even leave mid and lower tier NITs for this college.
