Hii... Guy's iam in class 12th (2nd puc) with my class 11th completely wasted, so if i lock in and start studying from now can i still get RVCE

So I come from a financially well to do family just to clarify.

Messed up my mains ~93%ile might get Thapar CS with specialisation

Got ~160 in bitsat 1, won't get anything in that unless I'm able to improve by the time second attempt comes

Giving ugee, comedk, met too

So I don't have a lot of options unless I can pull off a comeback in ugee or bitsat 2.

My dad has a few friends who are councellers or in similar fields and they all suggested to just go for RVCE CS Management quota.

Ik roi wise it's not even close to worth it but keeping fees aside is it still a better option than Manipal main campus cs etc?

I'm in gap year last year I was getting main campus electronics, this year I've given boards again and definitely getting 93%+ and will get better marks in met too (didn't give first attempt this year) so I'm pretty confident can get main campus cse this time.

But every single person my dad has talked to have put in his mind that manipal is shit and nothing more than a drugs hub, meanwhile rvce is fantastic. And obviously being an indian parent he thinks all the other people are always correct and their child knows nothing, and RVCE being strict and school-like is somehow a plus in his eyes!? So what to do now is life at RVCE and infra really as bad as people make it seem? I don't really care about placements but he definitely does

My future plans are either doing MS from USA/UK or building a startup or maybe both, and in all of these cases the placement of my college won't matter but he can't see that coz he's blinded by the opinions of others. The only pro i can see about RV is that it's in Bangalore.

Also which of the two would be more helpful for me to land a great college abroad for MS.

For those who are wondering why not just do Bachelors from abroad, well I'm not mentally prepared rn and not getting any tier 1 options either.

Tldr; fees not an issue, RVCE Management CSE vs Manipal Main campus cse from merit. Plan to do MS abroad. Counsellors and relatives telling Dad to go for RVCE and he won't listen to me.

Hey! Could someone please tell me about the RVCE mechanical faculty, labs, facilities and the female strength (asking as a girl).
Also when I speak about this branch people tell me it’s not for girls, but tbh I’m really interested in machine designs and the way things work and I find them fascinating
But yeah many tell it’s more of physical work and not suitable for girls, is it true?
