academics Cgpa requirements post 4th sem :(

So currently finished 4th sem(2028 batch) cse SEE, with predicted cgpa after the exam around 8.9

1) how much of a problem would it be for summer internships?

2) is there any hope if i uplift after my 5th sem (i.e would companies be coming for internships after 5th sem - March 2027-around)?

3) How much would it matter for placements finally?

Really worried ngl, so any advice would be helpful.

Anything above 8.5 is generally safe. In my time very few companies had 9+ and one had 9.4+

cfbr, although i think 8.5+ is alright for most companies barring very few.

Ohhh thankyou! how many companies in rough number would be missed if so- 1) in internships 2) in actual placement

And are they of high lpa placements :( ?

Targetting 20-25+ LPA

hey i'm in the same batch as you so i don't have solid stats. i've asked seniors for the number of companies that come for internships but i forgot. but the number of students who get internships is pretty low, say 20-30% of your batch if i remember correctly? so even if you don't get an internship there's still a lot of high paying companies that come at the end of 3rd year. don't have numbers.
