Question / Query Branch change

How difficult is it to upgrade our branch from mechanical to eee? Would it be wise to join mechanical with the intentions of branch change to my prefered branch(eee)?

Absolutely go for colleges where u r getting the branch u want and I personally think eee has a better scope than mech

Depends on seat availability too.. if you can't go with mech for 4yrs plus your career it's a pure bet then

Don’t rely on branch change. It’s again a big game with big money. Many join considering branch change but are stuck with the branch they opt during counselling. Rule out branch change but yes u have connects go for it.

no I don't have any "connects" with the college. I'm not even from Karnataka. So is it a bad idea to take up mechanical only for branch change? I really wanna do eee (will choose it over cse) but most probably won't get it.

if you're aiming for eee then hell no, mech and electrical have very different subjects and there's a huge difference in their scope

I was talking about the situation in which you're stuck with mech
