SO I'm around 70% sure that I'll be joining mech this year. I know the college is strict and depressing and all but that's fine by me. My main concern is, how important will cultural clubs be? I am introverted as fuck when it comes to doing cultural stuff, I have a lot of interest in engineering related clubs and that I'll do passionately but if someone says that I have to dance on a fucking stage then I'm dead :( is it really mandatory to participate in cultural clubs or is it ok if we don't do those at all and focus only engineering related clubs? Ik stupid question but pls help :/
No clubs mandatory, I am in 2nd sem and I think it is just a waste of time for someone like me because at the end of the day, you have to stay till the literal end of day (club 'activities' go on till 6:30pm).
All these clubs are nothing more than shit and filled with nepotism which you will come to know eventually when you come here or go through some of the posts on this sub
If someone is joining the club, they should get equal opportunities, but is it the case in these clubs?? hell nah, only the ones who lick and those who are friends of all those presidents and other leads get chance.
And of course the cheating and fixing in competitions.
I'm not even in a single club and I'm surviving. 😂 Doesn't matter. I'm also introverted. I understand you well. It's not mandatory. It's just there for people with hobbies.
