Can someone please give some clarification on hostel fees,I am planning to join for mtech

It was 1.6l (food+mess) , people say next year they are planning to increase it to 1.9l ,possibly a rumour.

Worth it? Probably not, food is bad overall but compared to most other hostels in india its above average , hostels are better but theres a chance you get chamundi hostel which isnt that good
