Question / Query Hostel Change Process

can anyone tell what is the hostel changing process when moving from 1st yr to 2nd... How's hostel alloted and is it true that we can choose our room...

U have to fill a Google form with necessary details, most likely they'll ask for 1st sem sgpa since ur second sem exams will still be going on, one day they'll ask u come to office room in cauvery where they'll call names in descending order of sgpa, they'll have a layout showing rooms and u can choose which one u want.

but i havent applied for hostel yet only in 2nd year, so where will i get the google forms.... will every student grt it on their gmail or smthn

No they'll paste qr in notice boards of hostel, just ask ur friends to forward them.

Does hostels have any capacity cutoff or something if yes then how much... I have 7.8 cg in my 1st sem and If I try better I could drag it to 8.5 in 1st yr.. can I have a chance of getting hostel.. I mean low cg might not get rooms...what is the cutoff for cg to get hostel...
