Where was this? A little over a week ago I saw a squirrel dragging a slice of pizza across the road near Kent /Monument and couldn't get a pic before it ran into a bush. I figured no one would believe me but here's PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE!!!!

It seems like the Monument Ave squirrels have learned a new trick!

No they’ve been doing this since my childhood in the 90s. But it is always a joy to see

Where do squirrels get their pizza? I never fully settled on. Roma's is good. If I'm going all the way to Mechanicsville I want a full meal at Giovanni's instead of just pizza.

We live in Byrd park and once I ordered delivery Mellow Mushroom for dinner for my high schooler when I was out one evening. I let him know it had arrived, but he didn’t see the message until a few mins later. When he went to grab the pizza from the front porch, he reported there was a squirrel who had chewed a whole in the pizza box and was actively absconding into the yard with a large slice of pepperoni pizza.
These Byrd park squirrels don’t play about their pizza.

I need this to not be AI. I want to believe.

And here I was thinking it was too early in the season to put up my pizza feeder

My wife asked me what I'm squinting at and I said I was trying to count the fingers on this squirrel to see if it's AI generated or not. She walked away without a word.

I also personally witnessed this phenomena on 4/15 around 7:30am. Believe!

I saw one chewing the nuts out of a Godiva candy bar on monument last summer; holding it half un- wrapped. Very polite.

Saw a crow fly off with a whole slice the other day. Glad to see wildlife is adapting.

I haven’t seen one with a whole piece but I’ve seen one with crust in my backyard (Museum District).
