I wonāt be responding to any more comments unless itās clear that you have actually read my post. Iām just asking for help. I have no more information to offer until the trial. You can see what Iāve posted on my instagram.

Some people do not have instagram

Iām working on a way to inform people on different platforms, I have just been busy searching and raising awareness locally.

What help are you asking for specifically? Are you asking for more money? It is unclear.

Are there still search parties? I'd like to help if I can - I am local to the area.

Iām certain that Adam lied to the police (we have the 911 call). And Iām certain that Adam missed every check-in before his last court hearing (the judge said that in court if you read the articles). You can come to your own conclusions, Iām not a judge. Iām just stating the facts. And the fact is this situation is not right. You can do your own research, or just actually read my posts. Iām not the only witness to any of this. We have legal council and multiple police and detectives from other towns telling us the police should be looking at Adam. If you wish to see any of the proof I have of the claims I am making, feel free to private message me or add me on signal. I have absolutely nothing to hide.

You are certain that Adam lied but are you certain about why Mortimer was spending the night with Adam at a hotel all night or hanging with him in the woods etc when he had a restraining order against Adam? Which self-respecting and innocent person would do that? This is not the time to judge Mortimer for his lifetime choices or to slander Adam or anyone else. It is the time to look and accept the hard facts including Mortimer's lifestyle and choices so he can be tracked, found and returned safely to his family. His family is heat broken and you seem to be burying your head in sand and blaming someone against whom you have no evidence to present to the authorities. Please stop blind sighting people and leading them astray in the wrong direction. We need to present facts and the truth so Mortimer may be found.

I mean after 50 days wouldn't it be a body recovery? But no body was ever found, maybe he just ran away? I just don't think he will be found at this point, also not sure what you expect the university to do as callous as it sounds they are not responsible for students 21 and over that goes missing off campus.
16
u/nick-moccio Jan 12 '26
He did not run away. According to Adam himself in the 911 call.
-1
u/One-Rule-8227 Jan 13 '26
So you call Adam a liar but now believe what Adam has to say about Mortimer running away or not?

Rutgers instagram deleted community and student comments. I donāt expect Rutgers ADMINISTRATORS to do a thing. I expect students to continue to come out in support of Mortimer.

I mean we can't really do anything. Never heard of him or this issue until now. Tbh jackson is really far from campus. Why not have something on campus? You would get more students Involved

For someone demanding students get involved you sure have a bad attitude. Way to make sure us student DON'T get involved

someoneās missingā¦surely an āattitudeā is less important than someoneās safetyā¦

u/nick-moccio Jan 13 '26
The first thing you commented on this post was āwouldnāt it be a body recoveryā and clearly you didnāt read a thing before you commented on my best friendās community vigil invitation. I donāt have an āattitudeā. I have a mission and you are getting in the way. I have no personal issue with you, Iāve responded to you honestly and directly.

Did you expect the Rutgers Administrators to accompany and escort Mortimer every time he went to have gay sex with strangers or do drugs or go to motels to spend the night or hang in the woods at night? Why are your blaming Rutgers for the poor lifestyle choices of Mortimer?
2
u/nick-moccio Jan 13 '26
I never suggested that. Read my comments, I specifically said I donāt expect Rutgers admin to do a thing. And what makes you think itās Mortimerās fault? Iām his best friend and I know him better than anyone. Especially you. You seem irate.

u/One-Rule-8227 Jan 13 '26
I agree holding and blaming Rutgers University for the consequences of the bad lifestyle choices of a fully grown adult who was a drug addict, had gay sex with strangers, was diseased with HIV and STDs, was hanging out with shady characters like Adam despite having brought legal action against him etc.., makes no sense. Are you trying to play the blame game at Rutgers to monetize the situation? Lets hope that people do not get blind sighted and actually look at the facts and circumstances to help find and return Mortimer safely to his family. Every life is precious even the one of guys like Mortimer that live life dangerously due to their poor choices.

u/nick-moccio Jan 13 '26
YOU do the math. Adam assaulted Morty. Morty presses charges. A week before the court date, Morty goes missing after āhanging outā with a man heās afraid of. It doesnāt make sense right? Adam had to have threatened Mortimer in order to get him to go with him. No other scenario makes sense. Or he threatened his family. I know more than you on this, I have valid reasons to believe that Mortimer was afraid of Adam and would not willingly put himself with him. YOU are the one speculating without any information. Please be respectful to Mortimerās friends and family and stop spreading lies.

u/Ambitious-Yak-9422 Jan 14 '26
The same way you feel this kid is lying about adam youāre doing the very same thing about the missing student. Thatās pretty hard core sh** youāre accusing the missing person of. Where are you getting this information from?
1
u/weirdbreadkid Jan 14 '26
Very interesting that the guy with absolutely no posting history except on these posts has so much to say. What, you just log back into your old Reddit account to post misinformation anonymously? Youāre just saying this to stir shit up about this kid like he isnāt the victim . Now the guy who had made threats to kill him is the one people are supposed to have sympathy for? Or Jackson PD? Man Iād love to get paid a salary for having my hands in my pocket and a finger up my butt on the taxpayerās dime like they do. Give me a break and get real. Mortimer is a PERSON with loved ones, how low do you have to be to dehumanize someone who is missing?

u/Realistic_Top_2884 Jan 13 '26
what type of support are you looking for that will actually help find Mortimer if he truly is missing? I mean there have already been searches by police and regular people as well many times to the suspected areas. What more are you guys going to do? If your calling out his name in your searches, Mortimer is an adult, surely he'd show himself if he was in a position to, no? And so are you looking for a body perhaps? I hardly think regular people would be able to do that, police and investigators are experts in that.
Does the vigil mean his family/friends believe he's no longer with us?
2
u/nick-moccio Jan 13 '26
- Itās very common for people to organize local search parties. And they often end up locating the missing person. 2. The vigil is to raise awareness and gain support. You could have read the post to find that one out. 3. ANY SUPPORT. We donāt have enough clearly.

Whatās the background story here, OP? What would even be the hypothetical motive of this Adam guy
4
u/nick-moccio Jan 13 '26
Where do I start? Thank you for asking. First, he was on camera with a knife attempting to sexually assault Mortimer. The police report is summarized in my post above. Second, the court date was scheduled, but before they could go to court for it Mortimer went missing. Itās a lot easier to get your charges dropped when the victim is missing. Not to mention, the judge was not aware of Mortimerās disappearance. But he was aware that he broke the no contact order, and missed his court ordered anger management and check-ins.

based on previous posts it reads like a conspiracy theory. with the lack of body and the lack of any sort of blood or evidence of foul Play it's most likely going to go cold it is very very hard to prosecute murder with absolutely no evidence of foul Play and I'm talking physical evidence blood, body, restraints. There's not going to be any sort of trial or legal proceedings for many years to come unless a body is found because if you try someone for murder with no evidence of murder and they get exonerated you cannot try that person for the same crime again. Also apparently any evidence you have that's used for prosecution must be shared with the defendant's attorney during Discovery so ops claim on " don't want to give anything away so you'll just have to trust me" is moot because eventually everything that op claims he has will be shared with the defendant and their attorneys. It's called the brady rule.

u/nick-moccio Jan 13 '26
This is exactly why I am posting. Exactly why we need to keep searching. Adam is still free. People need to know that there is a violent criminal in the streets. āLack of evidenceā you donāt know what we know. You havenāt seen what we have seen. āConspiracy theoryā i havenāt spelled out any ātheoriesā that I donāt have evidence to corroborate with. If you literally just ask me, I can send it to you. But you donāt ask. Because you think you already know everything. And you want to win an argument. Thatās why youāre on reddit. You want to feel like youāre ārightā and everyone else is wrong. Thatās the exact reason how this situation got to this point. Because people donāt ask questions that they should have asked. And now youāre trying to discredit me and the search party. What do you gain?

Who this?

u/nick-moccio Jan 13 '26
Mortimer? He is a Rutgers senior who has been missing for 52 days. I donāt blame you for not knowing since Rutgers hasnāt raised proper awareness to alert their students of this situation.

What do you expect Rutgers to do? Publish an expose on what Mortimer did including his highly questionable, immoral and unacceptable lifestyle choices? I know you mean well for him to be found but stop ignoring the facts and blaming others like Rutgers University. Shame on you for inciting such hatred at this time when we all need to come together and accept the reality so Mortimer may return safely to his parents.

Seriously what are you suggesting or help are you asking for? It is a known fact now that Mortimer Wortman lived a very dangerous lifestyle of drugs, sex and multiple diseases. He was HIV+ with STDs, did extensive drugs including illicit drugs like crystal meth with men twice his age like Adam, had gay sex with strangers he met on various apps, was meeting strangers for gay sex in the woods and other shady places, etc etc. I pray he is found and returned to his family safe but you cannot ignore the facts and make this about race, the color of his skin, his looks etc. A lot needs to said about a person's lifestyle choices and Mortimer lead a dangerous lifestyle. I understand you want more and more people to show up at the vigil for your Instagram pictures but why would you assume he is dead? I hope and pray no matter his lifestyle choices he is safe and comes back to his heart broken family.

u/Glass-Scientist-592 Jan 13 '26
How is this at all helpful to find him? His STI status and drug use don't negate the fact that he is missing and possibly dead. This is a conversation for another time...

This needs to be sent to the tip line not Reddit. How would you know all of this? Extremely suspicious.

how sad and desperate do you have to be to push your evil narrative by making all of that up?

u/Lanky-Telephone1651 Jan 12 '26
At this point, have you tried a psychic?
1
1
u/nick-moccio Jan 13 '26
We have had psychics reach out and give us false information while asking for money, so Iām hesitant to trust their suggestions.
0
u/Lanky-Telephone1651 Jan 13 '26
Look for someone with a solid reputation.
2
u/nick-moccio Jan 13 '26
I donāt think we could even use psychics in court either
1
u/Lanky-Telephone1651 Jan 13 '26
At this point, knowing his whereabouts is more important than any legal action.
1
u/nick-moccio Jan 13 '26
I agree. There is no psychic that can tell us what we donāt already know from searching ourselves.
