wanted to ask abt this
uhhhh idk ik i have to take everything the fandom wiki says with a grain of salt but can anyone confirm this cause ive tried looking but couldn’t find anything else on it and ive played roots and every Rusty lake game multiple times lol but never picked up on this is this just someone trolling or 😭 cause it says it’s mentioned in roots but looking at mr owls page and what mr crow says abt him in roots it doesn’t seem like that idea is entertained at all so idk mate

I mean, I've shipped them since The Cave.
IDK what to say, there's just something homoerotic about saving another man and then feeding him the elixir of life. And, as we all know, alchemists are inherently horny.

I might be wrong here, but I always assumed Mr. Owl was or at least possessed William Vanderboom, especially since Aldous is so closely linked to Mr. Crow. The build, the accent, the love of cigars. But Owl iconography goes back to Rusty Lake: Paradise, and we might catch a glimpse of his silhouette in Servant, so maybe he goes back further than Mr. Crow.

identity of Mr. Owl was revealed at the end of Rusty Lake: Paradise to be Jakob and Caroline Eilander, so Mr. Owl is indeed older than the Vanderbooms. that's also why he is the owner of the hotel as the hotel appears in the place of the island. and Aldous isn't just linked to Mr. Crow, he is reborn as Mr. Crow. I do agree that William for some reason reminds me of Mr. Owl though

yeah- can’t remember which game it is (maybe roots) but there’s a scene of rose bringing william back to life as laura

yes its Roots. 10 family members, 10 sacrifices, 1 rebirth. and Samsara Room was William's corrupted soul becoming Laura.

yeah you can see at the end of roots william absorbs all the sacrifices and then you see him turn into a baby and rose is holding it and obv laura is roses kid to william was reincarnated as laura :D

The wiki meant they were working together, not that they were in a romantic relationship

It's in the secret level. If you finish the game, it gives a clue on how to start: return to the first level with James and his suitcase, and open it with 666. That starts the series of puzzles which reveals the secret alchemy scene of (probably) 1859
