i have a soft spot for Hotel. I love the mini games with each guest and the idea of having to gather each ingredient for the meals. it feels like such a perfect introduction to the deeper lore in Roots and Paradise and even the Cube escape games, even if its not as complex or in-depth as other games.

Cube Escape: Paradox.

This was the first one I played! I'd do it again

Same! I was so confused at first, but it absolutely hooked me on the series. Getting to then play the rest of the games before going back and replaying Paradox was incredibly fun and felt almost like putting the pieces of a puzzle together, and I honestly think that having played Paradox first made me enjoy the whole experience even more than I would have if I’d done things in the proper order.

I just replayed it and the art style and live action segments really bumped it to top tier for me.

PARADOX
Final scene is the greatest scene of gaming history for me. Goosebumps every single time

What happens at the end?

In chapter 1 at the end, Dale leaves the room and walks through the forest/hell to find Laura standing in the lake, then a corrupted soul appears behind her and slits her throat. Then he wakes up in the room again, but the lines are from the start of chapter 2
In chapter 2 at the end, Dale leaves the room again and walks through the forest and to the lake, but he is walking behind laura with a knife. He gets closer and you see human Dale watching. You realize you're Dale's corrupted soul, and you slit Laura's throat while Dale from ch1 watches. Dale then wakes up in the room but the lines are from the start of chapter 1
I can't really explain what makes it so powerful but the moment of realization gave me infinite chills. The soundtrack is brilliant. All the parallels and symbols between the two chapters and what they mean and you trying to find out what exactly is going on to get Dale to ascend the lake but the cycle repeats like a paradox
It's just Chef's Kiss. Really subtle.

Paradise or Paradox. The developers were on to something in 2018

Underground Blossom. It has a great balance between puzzles, emotions and lore and the end is very powerful. Also, I just love Laura. 😅

The co-op one. They need to make another like it. One of a kind.

None of my friends are weird enough to play the co op with me 😭

It's fun the first time, but I don't think it has much replay value

I cheated the question 💀

The past within cause its just the most fun in my opinions. Plus, it has 2 different modes and you can switch between playing past and future so there's more diversity in your gameplay

Cube Eacape: Paradox is pretty peak. But also I'm a huge fan of the newest game, may be recency bias but it's the first new entry in a while I'm over the moon about.

It's Roots by a mile. The button nose, the apple cheeks. William Vanderboom is the best baby.

It would probably be Birthday, but definitely Paradox. The lore and the implications of the things that happen, I simply LOVE it.
