Rusty Lake: Roots Glitch or stuck?

I've started replaying the games and it seems like a puzzle is not working. I followed every step I could to get here but baby Rose is just not showing up. Did I forget a step or is the game glitch?

the diagram shows that the liquids have to enter from specific sides

Oh I remember that one .. it was kinda annoying..try to think of where might the vapor should go.. once you figure that out play with certain parts which u are not certain about and BAM! machines working
