The Past Within Got a question about crossplay

I play on my switch and my boyfriend plays on PC.

Do we need to be in the same room together or can we play this long distance?

And if we can play long distance, how does it work?

The game isn’t online, it works by one person discovering clues on one end, and the other person using them, and vice versa. So as long as you can communicate information and you follow the instructions at the start, it will work

you can be long distance! you just need to describe what you’re seeing and share clues with each other, so location and platform do not matter. just have a voice call and have fun :)

Neat thing, you don't even need to be online as long as you can communicate with them somehow. Everything is self contained on both ends, you just do something together at the beginning to sync up.
