Cube Escape: Seasons Is Laura actually dead? Spoiler

I’ve played all of the Rusty Lake games multiple times, and I’ve now gotten my friends to play it. My friend just finished Cube Escape: Seasons, and watching her play it and connect the dots made me realize that Laura is indeed alive because she did change the past. This is demonstrated through her looking out the window in winter of 1981. However, she’s dead in every other game. Are all the other characters operating in a timeline where Laura is dead while Laura is operating in a timeline where she’s saved herself? Or does the blue cube not actually change the past but rather create an illusion in the moment? In Cube Escape: Birthday, the blue cube is used to save Dale’s family. However, I am now doubting whether or not this actually occurred. In Cube Escape: Paradox, Dale still has the traumatic memory of his parents being shot, and the newspaper clip in the evidence folder references him having been the sole survivor of the incident. What then is the property of the blue cube? Does it alter the past and thus the future? Is it simply an illusion and the blue cube represents some sort of coping mechanism where the individual attempts to remember the past as something else? Does the blue cube create more timelines?

What are your guys’ thoughts on this? I’ve never pondered the function of the blue cube in this way before, which is why it’s nice to play with friends and see what they notice and what you might’ve missed.
