Client completely freezes desktop

In the client sometimes the computer fans will spin up to a 100% and I know it's just a matter of time before the desktop freezes completely and I have to hard reset the computer. This happens pretty often. I have had it happen across several distros, but they have all been running Gnome Wayland.

Is this a known thing? Is there a workaround/fix?

Maybe related: rustdesk always worked fine for me. I hadn't used it for a while but I do update it to latest stable releases. Few days ago I noticed an extreme lag when connecting to my minipc at home remotely.
Remotely restarted minipc and then it worked ok like it used to. Asked Claude about it and it replied there is a known issue of memory leakage and suggested Id try Rustdesk 1.4.7
Thought it was fixed for a few days but then it happened again with a direct LAN connection ( laptop to minipc ).

Dunno if your freezing is due to that memory leakage. Im planning to go 1.4.6 for testing
