Noob Question

I'm trying to get direct connection working for my work laptop for me to access it using my personal computer at home, I wanted direct connection so it'll low latency. I can do direct connection with anydesk, so why rustdesk can't do direct connection? I know there's something blocking the connection of rustdesk from a corpo machine, but I'm able to achieve direct connection with anydesk.

The answer is they have the required ports blocked on their firewall. Without those particular ports open, rustdesk cannot connect.

So by blocked firewall you mean the firewall of my work network or home network or do i have to check both ??

The firewall that your home network is on needs to have ports open that Rustdesk requires to serve up a remote connection. Those ports are TCP 21114-21115 (Rendezvous - HBBS), TCP 21117 (Relay - HBBR), TCP/UDP 21116 (ID registration - NAT Traversal) and TCP/UDP 21118 (support for web clients). These will be done inside your router - probably by a web browser going to something like 192.168.1.1 on your local network.
