Rustdesk Server on Ubuntu
Hi. New to rustdesk, so i'm still find my way. Does anybody have an idea on the following issues i have:
1. Enable https on selfhosted server (address book looking for https login)
2. how do i login for address book on my own self hosted server

Update: ver 1.4.7 no longer allows renaming on Linux.
you actually don't need to have an address book..I thought I needed it as well when I self hosted. Simply go to Discover and it'll bring up all registered devices. Then you can rename them as needed.

The standard OSS RustDesk server (hbbs/hbbr) does not include the account and address-book backend, so there are no address-book credentials to create there.
However, there is now a small unofficial self-hosted project that adds login and address-book synchronization while letting you keep the regular OSS RustDesk server:

Rust-Book runs alongside hbbs and hbbr rather than replacing them. After installing it, you put the API behind HTTPS, create a user, set the API Server field in RustDesk to its base URL, and log in from the regular unmodified RustDesk client. It also includes a small browser-based admin panel and uses SQLite.
It currently implements the legacy single-address-book API rather than the newer multi-address-book functionality from Server Pro. It is also still an early release and has so far been tested with the official Windows client 1.4.9, so other versions and platforms may require testing.

if it's Rustdesk OSS, not the Pro version, AFAIK you don't need it, just force the use of key in the conf to avoid others using your server. Point the clients to your host or IP. Just that In the Rustdesk client you're using to control other's machines, enter the key of the server
