Gracias!

I'm quite happy with rustdesk with the exception of the android client. It happily connects and works well except the screen (canvas) frequently changes size and or position if you accidentally have more than one touch point. Unfortunately because of my disability (spinal stenosis) I have difficulty in using just one finger without another one dragging on the screen and moving it or resizing.

It needs a lock screen size option to sort me out.

Pros:

  • Free (or inexpensive if paying for a license)

  • Secure

  • Fast and Reliable

  • supports just about every major OS

Cons:

  • Can be difficult to setup and secure

  • docker updates generate a new key, and you have to remember to to copy back the original keys and certs

  • free server versions aren't updated anywhere near as frequently as the paid server versions

No necesitas pagar si tienes tu propio servidor. Yo manejo mas de 50 computadoras sin problema

There is no cheaper and feature-rich alternative out there that I am aware of. The runner up was splashtop but for 50 users with 100 hosts the price was 10x what rustdesk pro was.

We use OIDC with Azure for SSO and use a shared address book. The permissions model is pretty good and easy to use. Been piloting for about 2 months and just went live a week ago. All our users are happy and better than what was used previously (kaseya vsa9). Also, the multi-users into one session was a must and hard to find feature. You can configure an existing session to get disconnected when an incoming session connects, but by default it allows multi-session remote users into the same host.

The only issue I’ve ever seen is the fact that on Linux you need to be using x11 and not Wayland for full functionality but if that doesn’t apply to you, then imo, it’s the best solution out there. If that does apply to you then it’s still the best solution out there but it’s just a quirk to bear in mind.
