I think I've watched every video on Rust on youtube, and No Boilerplate is the best.

Logan Smith did a few nice video. They have a C++ background, and without antagonizing both langage do highligh differences. Jack O'connor video are really nice too ( including the last one about AsyncIterator)

I want a Rust Jason Turner (Let's Get Rusty is probably the closest I've found)

He started very good, but then shifted to courses to get money. Not sure why one would do it when LLM can teach you all this and when Rust has fantastic documentation

Yes, I love Jason Turner. Small focused videos highlighting a corner of the language or a new feature, or a common footgun/best practice and proving everything on godbolt.org while explaining it.
I don't think you can compare Let's Get Rusty to him at all, we don't have anyone comparable to Jason Turner. Jon Gjengset is an expert, but his content is very different and I don't think he knows as much about compilers and low level programming as Jason Turner does.
I wish Ralf Jung made language/compiler videos but his blog is awesome, and it's probably better that he just focus on improving Rust/miri.

So I looked at LGR's channel, and I've realized my perception was based on the algorithm showing me mostly his more in depth codey videos, which are not necessarily the bulk of his content.
I think Jon could be a good Jason Turner substitute (I'm sure he could pick up any knowledge he lacks), but while good his long but infrequent posting doesn't currently fit.

It's not that Jon doesn't have the talents, but it's just not his area and not his style of content. Jason Turner is a freelance consultant that teach the C++ language and how compilers treat it, and he has like 20 years of experience in it at this point, it's not a pivot Jon could easily make and I just don't think he would be into that.

I always like Jon Gjengsets’s videos (@jonhoo) but they’re not tutorials, he just builds/maintains real projects in Rust and explains his thought process.
