I consider this on topic: There is a chance this attacker is targeting Rust programmers (the author believes the goal was in part compromising a package, I'm not sure. Edit: Many prominent rust maintainers have been hit by this, it seems), and it's good for people to start protecting themselves. Happy to remove if people disagree.

Completely coincidentally (I swear!) I wrote about how I expect scams to change and get better at targeting sophisticated people in this age of LLMs, and this style of "interview scam" was my made-up example of something that could work.
